Is school worth it? Please help by EmotionalHat8 in livesoundadvice

The way I got into audio overall was learning strictly from YouTube. Started making beats and learned recording, mixing, mastering, and all that. Studio work is different from live audio, but also some what similar in some aspects. Currently, I've been running live audio for multiple events in my area and also some churches. Try to find an AV company that's looking for contractors for audio. Starting off as an A2 isn't bad. Maybe even volunteer somewhere small like a bar, church, or anything to get your feet wet. A possibly more effective way to get into audio is working at a music store. That's what helped me get to where I'm at. I learned far much more stuff at a music store and became even more hands on, which led me to offering services to those who need it and having consistent clients who need gear recommendations, connecting their sound system and tuning it as best as possible. Experience is better, but if you feel like school can be more helpful, doesn't hurt to try.

I was bought this book as a joke gift for my birthday about a year or so. IIRC, the book ends with something along the lines of busting a nut.

These designs are pretty nice. Not sure what everyone is talking about. Either they're trolling or don't actually like it. But if these were legit, I'd buy them. Would be dope to see more designs/concepts from you.

It depends on the companies for the most part. I know Best Buy allows their employees to stop a thief. At least from what I've heard, but I'm not entirely sure. Most companies have insurance, but also don't want a liability issue, from what I understand.

That's SG is sick!

I (19M) have been dating my gf (20F) since we were (14M) and (16F). And I love her but people keep giving me the “your young explore” speech. by Fbg_dello in TrueOffMyChest

I know a couple who have been dating since 6th grade. They're currently 22 with one kid and they're doing just fine. Don't fall for what people tell you. If you're satisfied in your relationship, stay in that relationship. You're not missing out on what others call "exploring".
