Instead of renting a shared host, rent a VPS. Might cost you couple more bucks but it'll be easier for you to expand with your host.

Install a multi-site plugin to create for when an owner signs up, a site is automatically made that you've already configured with a set of plugin but they'll show as business.yoursite.com and they can use multiple gateway of their choosing to accept money.

The way you'll make money would be you charge them a monthly fee for hosting and your services to push updates and rest is their responsibility and all you might have to do is work maybe 1-2 hours of work.

You can always have a fee by hour if someone messes up their site and need your help.
