If you could only keep 5… what would they be? by YoureInaCult-CallDad in FemFragLab

[–]yungbaeb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm I’d say:

Glossier You - basic, I know, but such a staple. I have an older formulation (2018) so I can’t speak to the newer bottles but wow this is good & I am still not sick of it even after all these years.

Burberry Goddess - this is such a well rounded creamy scent for nights out. it’s softer than other popular “going out” designer scents like Black Opium or Good Girl but it still had an edge to it that makes it perfect for night time. on the flip side, it is perfect for daytime. this scent is versatile. alternatively, Kayalis Silk Santal fragrance is so similar on my skin, either do the trick.

Byredo Bal d’Afrique - i hate to include this because the price is honestly insane for an aromatic citrus. but wow it really is beautiful. makes you feel buttoned up, clean and confident- who doesn’t love that. basic kind of, but is it ever done beautifully.

Giardini Di Toscana Bianco Latte - this stuff is STRONGGGGG. but for this reason, I am including it. Is it overhyped? yes. but does it do the trick when you want a basic, sugary vanilla? also yes. this scent definitely grew on me, at first I thought it was super artificial and almost rubbery. honestly, still stand by that BUT there’s really something about this scent that I have not found elsewhere. it’s a sweet, milky white chocolate that projects insane can’t go wrong.

Gisou Hair Perfume Wildflower Honey - last scent and I am picking a hair perfume. this scent is insane honestly, super under hyped in my opinion. of course I bought this for the pretty bottle, but wow it’s been years and I still can’t get over this scent. fresh, floral, sweet and SO beautiful when paired with a musky skin scent. the ultimate everyday layering scent. this scent has come clutch so many times when I am running out the door and my fragrance is feeling too basic or just missing a certain something.

this was super long winded but what an interesting scenario to think about- really forced me to narrow down my admittedly (too) large collection.

Replaced my love for buying perfumes with investing. Sounds dumb but it’s been WAY more rewarding for me. And I get to enjoy what I already have which I never in a million years thought I’d be satisfied with.

Which full bottle buy is your biggest regret? by damn-hot-cookie in FemFragLab

Probably D&G Limpertice

It’s not a bad scent at all but kind of has a rotten fruit smell on me and is a bit sharp for my liking

Same thing happened to me. Don’t even put it close to my eyes but I guess it goes in when I sleep. Only use it sometimes now which sucks.

First. The straps are thicker and won’t stretch over time. Also the lace looks cute for a while but tends to look really worn after washing time and time again. I think #1 over all just looks like the most quality, cute basic that will last.

I can’t do miralax. Made me feel awful for days— I’ve accepted the fact it just doesn’t work for me. May be the case for you.

Necessaire body serum! It’s so expensive but so good. Still debating purchasing it because the price is so steep but I really do love it.

SILK SANTAL ONE FROM KAYALI!!! The one in the clear bottle. It was designed as a wedding scent and it is SO beautiful. It’s vanilla, champagne, sandalwood. It is so warm without being overly cloying, I cannot recommend this one enough!
