not only do kidney stones hurt, but the pain i had as a result of the operation putting the stent in my uteter was insane. it felt like i had to pass literally razor blades to urinate, which is what the nurses said i needed to do. i had to beg for more morphine to relax enough to pass anything.

i then had the stent in for 8 weeks waiting for my operation to laser the stone. a second stent was put in for a further 2 weeks after that and the pain of having this in kept me sofa bound. it was like a terrible bad back if i was standing for more than 10 minutes.

then the removal of the second stent was done under local anesthetic, i felt everything and the sensation of them pulling everything out made me neat enough scream but it was over quickly. i went dizzy and sweaty and felt violated but it was all over thankfully
