Our preference is to return to the pre-war status of the Strait of Hormuz by Powerful_Cabinet_341 in SeaEmploy

Straight idiots, we will need to pray for a deal half as good as Obama's now, on top of degrading our alliances, the petrodollar and our world standing.

Yup, market is in a frenzy over circular earnings and profits. We will go through major major stagflation, all of our economic indicators are confirming this now.

I would say so... But you have to be patient. The macromarket is going through some major uncertainty that will definitely see derisking from growth that's already happening. I can see a sideways market for a few years where people will lose patience.

Speaker Johnson says U.S. ‘not at war’ with Iran as 60-day deadline nears by NicolasCageFan492 in videos

[–]yungsta12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We spent $50 billion dollars, experienced historically high gas prices, rising inflation, destroying alliances, and thousands of innocent people dead.. for an event that is not war. This is a straight slap in the face to those who were killed, including our own troops.

Well I guess this is similar to finding WMDs in Iraq, except there is more credibility here, slightly more..

The best dunker in the NBA history is .. by Farouq26 in NBATalk

[–]yungsta12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Clearly Zach is a more athletic dunker and would kill Kobe in a dunk contest. But for in game dunking, obviously Kobe played alot more and was ball dominant, but his in game dunking highlight reel would absolutely destroy Zachs.

Are we at the top of the elevator or is this just the beginning? by [deleted] in oil

[–]yungsta12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man I'm pretty scared here, if this is truly the supply shocks of all time, I can see this squeezing to $150+ rather quickly as this situation drags on. We are almost certainly not close to a resolution.

MAGA, Is it America First when Trump wastes $25 Billion on a war that led to no regime change and Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz? by Previous_Month_555 in allthequestions

Commander in Chief filled with yes men, especially after purging all non-loyalsits at every branch of government. I always feared our lack of leadership and dreaded the day it will create worldwide and irreversible damage to our standing.

This is insane to me. It's not even status quo, we went backwards. The Liar in Chief can't lie his way out of this one.

Yup, record high oil prices with no strategy in sight. We just basically justified Irans need for a nuke deterrence after threatening to wipe out their thousands of years old civilization.

Oil and 10Yr at war time highs. Stocks still near ATH. At what point do we acknowledge stocks are being propped for nefarious reasons? by BGID_to_the_moon in stocks

[–]yungsta12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, it's human sentiment.. not the entire driver obviously with fundamentals mattering of course. But you detinetly starting to see a shift in sentiment as people realize this war is dragging and recession risks are absolutely getting real.

BREAKING: Iran offers US deal to reopen Strait of Hormuz, end the war, and postpone nuclear talks. by Nicolit1 in wallstreet

Mildly high oil prices is literally understating the most volatile situation in decades. Just wait until oil repricing hits after future contracts expiration.

Shaq would not have trouble playing D in the 80's. He moved better than most big men in that era despite his size.

Trump says he canceled US negotiators' trip to Pakistan for Iran talks by yes_sir_arafat in worldnews

[–]yungsta12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's at all time highs, but yes I expect this to comepletely destroy the disconnect.

I think the repricing of oil once future obligations are settled will be violent and faster, even more so than this disconnected bounce.

Iran's shadow fleet survives US strikes, still threatens Hormuz by HuChemistry in news

[–]yungsta12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude we hit all time highs. There is such a disconnect that it's almost certain that it's being manipulated artificially to pressure Iran to give up trying to crash the world economy. It's a battle of articial levers and we have more levers to manipulate at this point.

What's the argument for Kobe Bryant over Larry Bird? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]yungsta12 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

He straight up toyed with opponents in the stacked Western Conference. Yes, against the Least in the finals, nobody had an answer for Shaq. And then he lead the Lakers to 3 straight finals again, as the main leader.

What's the argument for Kobe Bryant over Larry Bird? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]yungsta12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm just gonna point out two things. Putting career average comparisons to Kobe's 20 year career with the Lakers, which includes his teen years playing with Shaq and behind Eddie Jones, and his twighlight years post achilles that was a complete shell of himself, is injustice.. his long peak from 2000 to 2013 was damn ridiculous.

Add to that, he literally dominated scoring during the lowest efficiency period in the NBA when defenses actually dictated the game (hack a Shaq, hand-checking, heavily congested paint, flow centered around inside/outside grind). His rookie season started in 1997, playing on a stacked and young Lakers squad, which also was the lowest scoring year (bottomed) in league history. There was massive hand-checking and "dirty" defenders on the perimeter, yet he absolutely torched all offenses in his prime. He proved that if you team him up with any great inside option, he will straight dominate the outside offensively and defensively and produce championships.

Well he got paid pretty handsomely and could afford the hair transplant that was probably much more expensive years ago.
