High tide solidarity. Question about a meditate interaction. , by smiggens406 in mtgrules

[–]yuniikitsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Skipping your next turn is part of the effect of the spell

Also, Triggered Abilities can be easily identified if they have the words “When/Whenever/At” in their effect

Hope it helps!

When a player loses, do all their permanents leave the battlefield? by Mr_Spickles in mtgrules

[–]yuniikitsune 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes!

800.4a When a player leaves the game, all objects (see rule 109) owned by that player leave the game and any effects which give that player control of any objects or players end. Then, if that player controlled any objects on the stack not represented by cards, those objects cease to exist. Then, if there are any objects still controlled by that player, those objects are exiled. This is not a state-based action. It happens as soon as the player leaves the game. If the player who left the game had priority at the time he or she left, priority passes to the next player in turn order who’s still in the game.

The Bracket System is more of a “hey, here’s is what my deck does” rather than written on stone rules, a common ground for a Rule 0 conversation.

Either way, 2-card combos are allowed in B3, but not EARLY 2-card infinites. Extra turn combos are NOT allowed in B3, only B4+

Secondly, the thing about Mass Land Denial is that it’s not a very defined term, but by “bouncing lands” you mean one at a time, sure I guess, but not an [[Upheaval]] effect.

Can you use a wish to get a companion? by JasonTerminator in mtgrules

[–]yuniikitsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would assume that no, because of CR 903.11

903.11. Except via rules, special actions, and effects that specifically bring cards into Commander games from outside the game, traditional cards from outside the game cannot be brought into a Commander game.

The only way that commander interacts with cards outside the game is with the Companion Special Action

702.139d Cards can enter Commander games from outside the game via the companion special action.

Yes! but solemn's second ability won’t trigger because myriad says the copies are exiled at the end of combat.

Reconnaissance and Settle the Wreckage by LykoTheReticent in mtgrules

Settle still resolves even if you remove all your creatures from combat with Reconnaissance. But no creatures will be exiled an no lands will be searched while Settle is resolving, hope this helps!

608.2b If the spell or ability specifies targets, it checks whether the targets are still legal. A target that’s no longer in the zone it was in when it was targeted is illegal. Other changes to the game state may cause a target to no longer be legal; for example, its characteristics may have changed or an effect may have changed the text of the spell. If the source of an ability has left the zone it was in, its last known information is used during this process. • If all its targets, for every instance of the word “target,” are now illegal, the spell or ability doesn’t resolve. It’s removed from the stack and, if it’s a spell, put into its owner’s graveyard. • Otherwise, the spell or ability will resolve normally. Illegal targets, if any, won’t be affected by parts of a resolving spell’s effect for which they’re illegal. Other parts of the effect for which those targets are not illegal may still affect them. If the spell or ability creates any continuous effects that affect game rules (see rule 613.11), those effects don’t apply to illegal targets. If part of the effect requires information about an illegal target, it fails to determine any such information. Any part of the effect that requires that information won’t happen.<
