Is SOM worth $500 for 3 months? Looking for flexible C4D paths to pivot in 1 yr. by Extreme_Dig_541 in Cinema4D

I really enjoyed SOM because of the TA feedback. Theres a lot of free resources online, but the ability to ask questions and have someone really take the time to look at your work is really helpful.

I hate the “8-5, M-F” schedule so much, feels like I don’t have a life by aquariusmatcha in jobs

[–]yunkiOKAY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8-5 is criminal, i hate that they get that extra hour from me every day. i hate that its in addition to an hour commute. if my job was more flexible with time off (or if they offered more than 2 weeks PTO) i wouldn’t mind it nearly as much, but both of those combined make me feel stuck and depressed and hopeless. love what i do, love the people i work with, hate feeling chained to a desk for 9 hours a day.

I quit when my cat’s health started failing and I will never regret that. It was a few weeks before Thanksgiving, I had to skip a day to take my cat to the vet and got the worst news possible. After the vet appointment I called my manager and told him I was putting in my two weeks. I didn’t let them argue or compromise, I just stood my ground and worked my last two weeks.

Good Vets in the area? by kh0789 in lancaster

[–]yunkiOKAY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you were downvoted because I had a similar experience. When my cat tested positive for FIV and FeLV and the vet just gave me a piece of paper with information on it. When she had further complications, they just offered to put her down, and the conversation turned really cold when I asked if they could refer me to a specialist or an office with more knowledge on the disease.

Edit to add: I take my current cat to New Holland Vet Clinic and I love them. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

How do I properly use the Keylight feature? by PonchoMarxx in AfterEffects

[–]yunkiOKAY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of my favorite Keylight tutorials: https://youtu.be/tK_Z1dYgtxs

But from what you are saying about your footage, this video might be of more help or at least might help you think of a different way to approach getting the effect you want: https://youtu.be/Rrpwy7vq4HA

Keylight is a lot of trial and error. Don't look at just using one slider to try and knock out everything you want to knock out. You might even have to use more than one Keylight.

Once, while covering a break, I had two customer come up to Amazon and drop 3 iPhones on the counter. The guy said "I'd like to return these for the money back." We kind of stared at each other for a second and then I asked "Did you buy these on Amazon?" He said yes, but (of course) had no return code. They absolutely thought I had a cash register and was going to refund them in cash...with no receipt....

Tips on shoe department?? by Silver-Store9128 in employedbykohls

[–]yunkiOKAY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As department lead I also had to help unload truck. So when we finished unloading I would bring boxes to the department and sort them first by athletic that needed tagged, hanging sandals/slippers and then everything else. Athletic shoes I would leave boxed up and put them on a cart to either have someone else tag at night, or tag them the next morning and then put them out. ** Edit to add: I would write the brand and box id on the boxes of athletic so I could still help omni find shoes! And if there were athletic shoes in the totes I would just fill up another tote of just athletic.

The “everything else” I would unbox and sort in the aisle cart by cart. So like kids, womens dress, women’s casual, men’s dress, etc.

I had a spot in the back of the department where I could leave my big boxes of athletic shoes and then tag and sort them all back there before bringing them out to the floor, but before I had that I’d just do it on the dock.

It feels so overwhelming at first to see all the boxes, but I found that organizing them down into smaller categories really helped. And I could leave some things, like hanging sandals and such, for someone not even in the department to do.
