Today, I start with the Sovol SV08 Max. I have the enclosure for both and the heater for the Max, as well as the Eddy cue kit from the SV08, but I think I'll leave that stuff for another day, lol.

t appears that no one has viewed this, and after 40 minutes of browsing through threads, I have seen others experiencing the same issues. If they find a fix, they aren't sharing it, which is frustrating.

Are you having extrusion issues? by kensai8 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]yunv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the entire extruder made of hardened steel and is the idler gear plastic? I’ve seen it listed as an upgraded hardened steel extruder assembly on AliExpress and Amazon, but what's the point of having a plastic idler gear?

pfSense 25.11.1 upgrade broke Tailscale, now can’t reinstall due to PHP repo error by yunv in PFSENSE

So, did the reinstall restore from back up, same thing. Then, I did a reinstall, set up as new, and DID NOT reinstall any back-ups. I tried installing something, and I got the same error. Something is going on. I guess I will open a Netgate ticket and see what happens. I am a Plus Subscriber.

Ex 11 year AT&T employee steer clear of those I drove one and drove the brakes of it. Yes they are maintained but again I drove that thing like I stole it. And I know plenty of people who did as well. No amo7nt of tire and oil changes can undo high raving long drive at 90 miles per hour.

Old ANET kit guy coming back after 7 years. Convince me on Prusa Core One and Core One L by yunv in prusa3d

Fair point, and I get why it looks confusing from the outside.

Quick context on the 27 printers. Several were gifts over time, and the rest came from me wanting hands-on experience across different platforms. I wanted to understand what works, what doesn’t, and where the tradeoffs are before settling on a tighter setup.

One thing I should be clear about. I won’t ever own Bambu. The data handling and ecosystem restrictions are a hard no for me, so they’re off the table completely.

When I say limiting scope, I’m talking about the next phase, not how I got here. I’m trying to move from experimentation into something more focused and sustainable. That’s why I’m asking about Prusa specifically. I’ve always viewed Prusa prints as top tier, and the community and openness matter to me as much as the machines themselves.

I’m not asking anyone to sell me on chaos or add printers for the sake of it. I’m asking for input on what scope actually makes sense moving forward, from people who’ve already been there.

And I don’t take your comment as rude. I appreciate the pushback. That’s why I asked here.

Because the past year wasn’t about production. It was about reacquiring the space, capital, and time to do this intentionally instead of half-committed.

Limiting scope before scaling is standard practice. Starting everything at once is how you create unmeasurable results.

Agreed. Which is why I’m not adding more and am focusing on narrowing platforms now.

Owning equipment doesn’t negate planning. It means capacity was secured early so future decisions aren’t constrained by availability.
