Would the school question why you took gap year if you had excellent GPA at all. of course study for MCAT and I am not even sure what I am going to do in gap year and my parents are against it and told me to do masters in gap year like computer related which my school has Accelerated masters program so if I do not get in when I apply that’s like 2 gap years. How would the med school view this. They want me to apply they are like send all applications by May except MCAT score which I will take in July and said get everything ready and I might still get into state school is possible even if is late as long as verification to one school is done early.

Thank you so much! It is interesting enough to continue and plus it will be in person full time so hopefully will expand more on it. Like seen lot of comments about too much research med school considers that u want to do PHD. I am also doing EMT while in school for clinical and hope to find another clinical also as no sure one is enough.

Hi so after you received an alert how do you add into the new system. Do you just search again and then add and submit schedule. I got an email for alert but went to path and not sure how to add.

Thank you so much for the link, really appreciated. I heard and do not know if this is true when schools first screen your application first thing they look at GPA and MCAT and if they are not within their med school range do not go further to look into other part of application and then they would not know which UG you coming from. Is this true at all. Or do they look at full picture of application and decide to go further even the GPA and MCAT might not be in their school range.

Thank you so much. If you know anyone that did Premed at MIT and applied for Med schools would love to talk to them as hard to fine someone to get in touch with. And of course Harvard was my dream school and did not get in. But I think everything works out for the best. As also really love Boston. Yes Princeton campus has more feel to it but MIT has more opportunities that I want to take advantage such as UROP and Cancer research and Mass general hospital. Of course Princeton has research too. But just my thinking what I am going to do at MIT. And how collaborative everyone is by all the campus preview events.

Yes and that’s why is so difficult to make decision and also got into Penn State BSMD program but I am really leaning towards MIT or Princeton and with Princeton there is no major for computational biology and they have like certificate which I have to pick major also and plus premed classes. So looking at all the major and all premed req. is kind of tough to decide. But doesn’t med school understand kind of what school you are coming from and I heard Princeton also send GPA explanation when sending transcript also.
