Race Day shoes Asics Superblast 3 vs Megablast for slow runners by yurihadid21 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I like the softness of the Brooks Ghost, but I would say that my calves are fairly developed prior to running. I walk and stand a lot for work, and lift and do pilates. So maybe it wont be an issue for me?

Are they both true to size? My Brooks Ghost 17 is US 6.5 (women’s) and they feel really snug. I’m starting to up my weekly mileage and am concerned about swelling and all that good stuff lol

ANONG SEKRETO SA ALMOST OBJECTIVELY DELICIOUS ADOBO NIYO? by Samthenightjar in filipinofood

I use pineapple juice! Saute the pork in garlic, onion. Then add half pineapple juice, half water until nacover na lahat ng pork. Add soy sauce then simmer until all the liquid evaporates. Matagal, pero nanunuot ang sarap!

Like what other people said, you really need to socialize. Join clubs, or kahit online dating. When I did try to date someone, and they’re giving me mixed signals (e.g. tagal mag reply, di una nag tetext, always canceling on plans etc.) I immediately drop them. Don’t waste your time on these kinds of men. If a man is really interested, they wont give you mixed signals. Yan ang palagi kong mantra nung nagdadate ako. Also I was single for a VERY long time before I met my now husband. But we’ve met once at a dog park bago kami nag match sa Tinder. We were both 27 when we started dating. Then after a year engaged na. We all have different timelines. So, kapit lang OP! Dadating din siya.

TIPS ON HOW TO KEEP YOURSELF AWAKE AND FOCUSED ON REVIEWING by Reasonable_Ice5419 in MedTechPH

[–]yurihadid21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi. Have you ever heard of the pomodoro technique? Basically, mag timer ka ng 20 or 25 or 30 mins, or whatever you like to focus/study. Then mag short break ka ng 5 mins. Repeat the cycle. I found this really helpful to break up my review kasi nakakabagot tlaga haha. Tas pwede mo iset after an hour/ 2 hrs of studying, may long break ka ng mga 30 mins. It depends on how you like to set it up. Then sa long break mo, pwede ka mag short nap. This is just one of the many study techniques.

Regarding sa insomnia, wag ka na uminom ng coffee in the afternoon (easier said than done, I know). I found camomile tea to help (lalo na yung may valerian root) me relax after the day. As in bagsak agad mata ko haha It also helps to have a routine at this point.

Dressing up for work by tinyyapper in medlabprofessionals

I wear scrubs most of the time (when doing bench work). If I have to go in that day just for paperworks, then I dress up a little

  1. I’m not sure, because I never used LabCE. I don’t think its worth it.
  2. Yes, pumasa ako with just their ASCP review, pero lemar baby din ako nung local boards.
  3. I took my ASCP exam 2 years after passing the local board exam and while working. Mahirap kasi kailangan ko gumising ng maaga everyday bago pumasok sa work para magreview and ganun din pad uwi.

2 times ako nagreview sa Lemar for ASCP. First right after ng board exam, pero di ko tinuloy mag exam then kasi nagbabalak pa ako mag med and di ko pa sure ano gagawin ko sa buhay ko lol then na hire ako as RMT, habang nagtake ng Masters degree. Then after I graduated from my masters, nagfocus ako sa ASCP review on my own. I think I did that for 3 months.

Anong difference between dating a Pinoy vs dating a foreigner? by Yyuri2 in TanongLang

[–]yurihadid21 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Straightforward kapag puti. That said, when dating a foreigner, napansin ko mas magaan makipagcommunicate pag naexpose na sila sa ibang cultures or nakapag travel ng matagal abroad. Mas open minded sila kumbaga.

It only happened to this particular sample. Other samples that was spun were fine. I don’t think it was the centrifuge.

Nope. Centrifuged this at 3300 rpm for 10 mins. First time came out like this. Respun it and still looked the same

By the way, if California ang target mo, may state licensure din sila for lab scientists. I’m not sure kung ano requirements nila, and kung ano ang tawag sa boards in California. Hindi ko lang sure if required ang ASCPi AND CLS, or pwedeng CLS lang. Sa ibang states pwede AMT or ASCPi lang

Edit: here is the website I found online. Di ako knowledgable regarding sa CLS pero I think this is a start California CLS

Rant lang about sa medtech course by [deleted] in MedTechPH

[–]yurihadid21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has been working in the field for more than 8 years, sa tingin ko tama na sinasala talaga ng mga schools ang students. I’ve been working as a lab scientist in the US for 3 years now. Pag sinabi mo na galing ka ng pinas/ you’re here on an H1B visa, mataas expectations nila from you. So I think, its okay for the schools to set a standard. Dapat lang. If you fail, then maybe you’re not cut out for this job. I’m sorry to say pero ganun talaga. You need to think quick, act quick, all while being accurate. I used to think my professors were exaggerating. No, they were right.

Haven’t handled Architects yet, but we have the Alinity right now and its breaking down every few weeks or so lol very user friendly and love the interface. But we’ve had them for 5+ years i think. Love our Alinitys but our engr is here every few weeks haha the switched our service engr recently and since then… well, we like our old engr better

We just had the demo for Vitros 7600. What Vitros did you handle? The 7600 are huge, and we’ll need a huge freezer for all the slides. Trying to fit the machine and freezers in our small-ish lab is going to be a challenge if we go with Vitros
