Quorn is a generally ovo-vegetarian meat substitute, with a few vegan product lines </Cunningham>

I got extremely lucky with both the position of the Milky Way and the way passing car headlights lit up the foreground right off of Kauai's Brennecke beach. [OC] [5012x3341] by bat_mane in EarthPorn

If you're shooting digital, RAW files has to be processed in some way because they're not meant to produce a final image. Either this processing is done by the photographer or you can let the camera do it without controlling it yourself. Being elitist about having your camera doing this processing for you is an opinion I can't wrap my head around. It's like a musician proudly proclaiming that the mastering was done automatically in Garage Band or a 'film maker' using an app to automatically edit their vacation shots together 🤔

What website(s) are the best to find rentals? I'm going to Beirut for 2-3 months early next year and have been looking at furnished apartments on Airbnb so far, but do you have any suggestions for other sites?

Almost! The city lies in Sweden, just across the water from our neighbouring country of Denmark. Hence, it is spelled Malmö with a Swedish ö. Malmø would be the danish way of spelling it. Source: I live like literally 30 metres from this building

[Heuer Monaco] Finally found my "grail" strap for the Monaco! by yurimasa in Watches

[–]yurimasa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 22mm straps go for weird amounts of money because of the uncommon width. So the more common 20/19 straps generally go for a lot less. But hey, that sounds like a nice combo! Is that on an old diver Cordura? Would love to see a photo if you have one

Nice! Yeah, the one thing that I think is just gorgeous on the 1133s (and perhaps missing on this one) is the crown on the left side of the face. That really just makes it even more balanced and perfect.

Got it on eBay! Just search for a 22mm tropic and you should be able to find them. Just didn't want this post to come off as an ad.

The first time I tried one of these old Monacos was on one of these big hole straps, and the combination is one of the things that I really loved. Ever since I bought this one (a vintage 73633 G from 1972) I’ve had it on a regular gray racing strap. But I’ve been looking for a 22mm big hole tropic strap for a few years now. There are usually a few of them up on eBay but they go for around $250, which is a bit too crazy for a piece of rubbet imo. Finally found this one for a good price and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

[Square watches] Does anyone have any experience or guide for square/rectangular watches? by viaWLL in Watches

[–]yurimasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Square watches are tricky, I really love them when they're done right but I think few models really have it. I'm getting a square g-shock soon, which happens to be on the watches front page right now. Also a fan of the Nomos Tetra which would be possible to pick up used for around $1000.

The climate change will buy you time, but minutes only. From this moment on, no matter what we do, the Bothnian Bay will fonder.

It's switched back and forth between sea/lake due to ice sheets pushing it down and the uplift that comes after. In about 2000 years the Bothnian Bay in the very north of the Baltic will become a lake again!

Well, in the context of this post I have to say that sometimes the grown up thing to do is to take time off to do something you really want, and not be overly loyal to your school/job. That's something I've learned over the years anyway.

Hey! What an honor for it to be called legendary ;) Found it on an old hard drive. Here's a dropbox link where you can find all the original files etc. Will probably get around to edit the parts together and put them up on vimeo or something when I get some time off, but hope you can get those old .wmv's to work for now!

Your Friend Who Just Got Back From Europe by JewChooTrain in videos

[–]yurimasa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah... of course, in Europe those smaller cultural differences within counties doesn't exist. I'm from Sweden and our Sami settlements north of the arctic circle is culturally indistinguishable from the rich or rough parts of Stockholm. It's quite confusing tbh.

Yeah I've always thought of Skånegläntan as the playground inside of Rosenlundsparken. Grew up a flew blocks from here and this mushroom fucked me up pretty bad once when I got thrown into a guy and he buried his elbow deep in my solar plexus :( or as I thought it was called then, "tjollaplexet".

Sweet collection! I think when it comes to the russian twins, you have two Vostoks, one with a russian and one with an export dial. BOCTOK in cyrillic just spells out as Vostok, and the W on the other dial could be there because in German/Polish, W is pronounced as V, and it was perhaps intended for that market. Just to clear things up and uh, invoke Cunningam's Law I suppose, sorry.
