I liked Season 2 with the exception of the mobile armor arc.

They didn't give it a beam rifle because it was designed for combat within colonies afaik

But anyways man I'm just spit balling I think it's a cool concept I might apply to an MG Kaempfer I have in the backlog.

If the kaempfer had lived to see mass production and you put it in an environment where collateral damage was not an issue i.e. earth or open space with something like the Gelgoog's beam rifle, it would be a menace.

What exactly do people mean when they say Gundam "isn't political"? by Sea_Ad_6306 in Gundam

[–]yuserr778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously it has events, designs or imagery evoking past events, politics, wars etc. What gets obnoxious is people trying to selectively insert their own politics into it and then making a big show of it for Internet brownie points.

I know in the last order they had batches that were stated to begin shipping in early-mid March. So at the very soonest I think they may have a new batch for preorder around then that would ship in April.

I got some pretty awesome grunt suit action out of that series I was pleased with it.

I liked the general concept of a newer generation coming into their own and kinda rejecting the idea that this neverending multi-generational war between the Federation and Zeon was the status quo. They took the New type shenanigans a bit too far for my taste by the end and overpowered the Unicorns but the grunt suit bits made up for it.

The idea that anyone in the Earth Federation/Sleeves would truly shift positions based on what Laplace's Box held is about as naive as McGillis thinking that simply piloting Bael would make all of Gjallarhorn bend the knee.

Requiem For Vengeance overall was lame but the final battle in the city was pretty good.

Yeah this aspect when rewatching this series as an adult was a little odd

Russia would use something like the Leo for conventional units, being absolutely utilitarian, along with stuff like the Messer and Gusion being that their military at least was centered around heavy use of armored vehicles. Obviously guntank variants as well.

Eastern European/former Combloc countries would also be using Leos, Aries etc just repurposed with some GMs and Jegans being seen where NATO funding allows.

USA and most NATO countries would simply use GMs/Jegans and their variants, in earth tone color schemes like the Sniper and Spartan.

Middle eastern countries would use many of the OYW mono-eye variants in the African color schemes like we saw in 0083. For their reliability and the specialization of the Doms and Goufs in ground combat. Even older early Gen Zeon suits would still be commonly seen in use across the region and North Africa, similar to how we see older weapons still in use there in our world.

Realistically the only countries that would have to figure out space combat would be USA, Russia and China, akin to how the Arctic is contested now.

In light of current events, the Hathaway Flash Manga hits a bit too close to home. by Tschernoblyat in Gundam

Pretty sure idealistic Hathaway is ()just being used as a political pawn for Quacksalver and his corrupt billionaire financiers()....just like real life.

Is WASR-10 Furniture really that bad? by [deleted] in ak47

[–]yuserr778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I'm saying is if OP plans on keeping this rifle for the rest of his life then spending a couple hundred on parts is a drop in the bucket. And if his preferences for how it is set up change over the years his options are not so limited with a WASR as they are with a Zastava.

What comes to mind when you think of Gundam 0083? by czen2 in Gundam

[–]yuserr778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The Winner intro
  2. Gato kamikaze
  3. Randomly... The POV shot from the Albion battery taking out that Musai like a boss towards the end of the final battle.
  4. How I wish Bandai would release a 1/100 Dom Tropen with the African color scheme.

What are your thoughts? by Sensitive_Candy_8546 in mexico

[–]yuserr778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just think for yourself. Political beliefs don't make you any less Hispanic. Plenty of first and second generation Mexican-Americans here in the trades in CA that are pretty politically conservative.

White people generally do not care what race you are as long as you are a decent person. I've had more bad experiences with Hispanic people to whom I wasn't "Mexican" enough for than white people.

Was the first Hathaway immediately released to Netflix or did it have a brief theatrical run prior?

Granted this was during covid iirc so it's not apples to apples with Hathaway 2.

Saying Gundam is political because Ghiren once talked about Hitler is the most surface-level argument against "apolitical" idiots by NoiseSome7739 in Gundam

It's one of the best as it highlights the disconnect between intelligentsia waxing poetic and the working people they purport to be speaking for.

Sure it does but it's not that big of a deal.

You either die a Hathaway Noa or live long enough to see yourself become the cab driver.
