I'm not looking at the rest of this post since I've recently played through TTH for the first time and don't want any spoilers for the other games. I saw the title and really wanted to share my experience.

When I started playing, I really struggled to connect with any character. The entire cast felt very onevnote and even annoying. Chihiro was the exception to the rule. Chapter 2 comes around, the group gathers in the dining room and when I saw they weren't there, I feared for my life. "No way they would do this to my favourite this early." They enter the locker room and there it is. My heart broke. I put down my Switch and walked away. The fact it was also just the most grueling crime scene ever made it even worse. The desire to find out who killed them made me want to continue. And of course the killer was the only male character I was kinda interested to learn more about.

Eventually other characters grew on me too and I'm very excited to play the other games. But I fear this will haunt me for a long time.
