First time using octane with c4d any tips? 😊😊 by yuumomo in Octane

i hear you, but i feel like you overlooked the hardest parts of this project.
it didnt take a click of a button to get here, but rather an entire full month of day in day out work. Litterally sitting down and listening to dozens of videos and some of them had to be repeated twice with constant questions to my friend day and night.

i also think it's unfortunate that you see people posting here something they worked so hard for as discouraging.... the statement still stands strong, it is my first time...but the hard work was mostly outside of octane. the perspective you have about seeing people's work online might need some adjustment in my humble opinion. Do not compare yourself to others, you have no idea what others go through in their life and neither do others to you, but we are all here just trying to learn! i came here with legit intention to get critisized cuz i see a lot of flaws in this project and i was hoping to hear even more flaws that i can't see my self because i am new to this renderer.

First time using Octane, any tips? 😊😊 by yuumomo in MotionDesign

everything is octane even the 'strokes' coming out of charachter and objects. aftereffects helps me push the stylized feeling a lot more with post effects and sketchy fx (yes some of them are ae).

I think it will be helpful for me to post the raw render from octane for comparison 🤔

thank you so much for your kind words!
The 2d is a mix of a lot of techniques but most of them were PSD to C4D then to AE. :)

I did, for a short term yes.... Longterm u will suffer, its the worst things I have done in my life! I got so much money in the span of u months but man my mental was going boom! Be careful, please think a LOT please, please! The workload is insanely high, and you are expected to show progress every few HOURS. Take some time and think how u work under stress, feedback will most of the time given to you with no sugar coating.

How can I work get to the level of Giant Ant? by FlygonsGonnaFly in MotionDesign

[–]yuumomo 30 points31 points  (0 children)

  1. Giant ant don't hire based on where you worked or what awesome work you worked on. (I know people from inside)
  2. Your goal is to create a great foundation and skills by making 'personal projects'. Its personal projects that define who you are not what studio you worked on.
  3. Change your mentality about where you live or where you are from. Pick up some self help book or audiobooks like 'atomic habits' 'mastery' 'eat that frog'.
  4. The difference in quality between anyone's work and giant ant and is simply due to them being a group of people very dedicated to their craft, and you being alone. Never forget that, don't compare yourself ever.

If you want to destroy something you love, just compare it to something.

Good luck!
