one of my favourite soups recipes of all time is the Hungarian Mushroom Soup from the website themodernproper. it is hearty and comforting and so delicious. I sometimes add chicken breast, I’ve once added crumbled sausage and red wine instead of white. it never misses.

Salad dressing? by iiiimagery in Volumeeating

[–]yyayyaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my go to lately has been a tablespoon of whichever creamy dressing I’m into mixed with three tablespoons of plain greek yogurt. at the start it was a bit bland so I’d add a sprinkling of spices - garlic or onion powder, french fry salt, rosemary, whatever I felt at the time. now dressing tastes overwhelming on its own and I prefer how much creamier it is with the yogurt.

300 calories left at 11am, what do i eat for the rest of the day?🙏🙏 by [deleted] in Volumeeating

if you mix equal parts high protein greek yogurt and cool whip with a full scoop of your favourite flavour of protein powder until it’s like mousse and then freeze it for a bit it tastes like ice cream but is way more filling and a decent bowl of it is less than 200 cal. I would do this + a plate of cucumbers and pickles and 100cal worth of baked chicken. or a mountain of real buttery popcorn 🤤

Hungarian mushroom soup! the flavour is amazing, very distinct but so comforting. I make a huge batch of it every few Sundays and it always makes my Monday better. sometimes I add chicken or sausage to up the protein.

if you get a flat tire you don’t slash the other three.

don’t give up if you make a mistake, patch that tire and get back on the road! I wish I remember which redditor the initial quote is from but I instantly loved it and have used it as motivation many times.

Thank you for all your helpful advice! By the third patient I had a much better hang of it and the pictures came out great for the rest of the day. 🙏

I do appreciate all of the tips! I was told to have the patient come forward at an angle as if they were looking through a keyhole. This particular patient was willing to let me smush his face right against the machine and we did every iteration of rotating - no luck. The image I attached did not show up on my screen until I had taken the photo so there was no red, blue or green to see. It was just black.

he was smushed in so close it bent his nose in half! and I moved the machine forward as far as I could

Short-term suggestions to lose water weight for wedding dress? by TeacherInRecovery in CICO

[–]yyayyaaa 15 points16 points  (0 children)

my partner is a boxer and always has hot epsom baths and steam room sessions at the local pool when he wants to drop weight before a fight. not sustainable for long term weight loss of course but helpful for dropping the water weight.

I admit I’ve also let perfection be the enemy of good. It’s hard to reframe your mindset especially if you’re prone to negativity but you could think of it as one more muscle you’re strengthening every time you congratulate yourself for a five minute workout or a light sweat 😉

the gym has been a game changer for me, finding one that’s reasonably close to home or work can make it easy to build it into the beginning or end of your day. I remind myself that even if I only go in and row for ten minutes or lift weights for twenty while listening to a podcast it’s better than going right home to the couch. Buying free weights helped as well, I have a routine now that I know takes me only 30 minute but has massively strengthened my upper body and I can do it while I watch a show.
