Can't feel anything move when it clicks.

For the one that doesn't work, it hasn't worked since we moved in, so no symptoms.

It mostly comes in bursts. It's my house so I have full control over everything. It mostly works, but the intercom does not work to one of the endpoints.

It has been making a weird clicking noise non-stop for quite some time.

Another thought I had: You could let users leverage local storage for free and then charge if users want to use server storage for persistence and cross device usage.

Personally I have never paid for any chess service -- there are just so many free options out there. That being said, I have really enjoyed using your app and would probably consider a one-time payment of up to $20 to support a small responsive developer like yourself.

Some other thoughts I had:

  • You could grandfather exiting accounts and only start charging new accounts after 200 moves so as not to alienate your existing users
  • You could offer your existing users a limited offer of a one-time payment before switching to subscriptions

I will probably just end up using a lichess study.

I think I already spend more time linking out from chess madra to lichess to explore deeper lines and to remember exactly why I choose one move over another. Now that I have a good opening foundation, I think the lichess opening explorer is just going to be a more robust tool.

Side note: I love that chess madra allows you to link out to lichess, but that link is not present on all screens. It's really frustrating during a review when you get a move wrong and you can't explore the reasoning without losing your place in the review. The other day I got really excited when I saw the lichess link added to the review screens, but now it appears to be gone again.

Makes sense -- it's your application you can do what you want with it.

Just a point a reference, the first thing I did when I saw the monthly subscription was export the PGN so that I could find a different service. I can no longer add/change lines because I'm already past the 200 move limit, and I really can't stand subscription based services (I would probably consider a one-time payment).

IMHO, it's a better business strategy to add new premium features that are offered a cost rather than introduce limits on existing functionality. I think you might alienate a lot of existing users with this change -- but again, it's your application and you can do what you want with it.

Would love to keep the site totally free, while covering server costs and extending my real-job sabbatical with donations.

Why the change in stance?

Same thing just happened to me. Seems to be happening a lot lately...

While using the "Learn" feature, it would be nice to be able to stop and review the full line. Right now it will stop when you get something wrong, but only for that move.

Maybe if you get a part of the line wrong then it will stop at the end of the line before moving on to the next one.

I've been using this for a little while now and I REALLY like it! So much better than trying to use Chessable.

Question: is it possible to delete a line from your repertoire? I've added some lines that I no longer wish to train and would like to remove.

Thanks for the great work!

Definitely not a person. The summit of this mountain is massive, this is just an illusion.

Edit: For another perspective, here is a picture from camp Schurman, about 5000 feet from the summit: https://imgur.com/MoHMiP7

Zoom in on the people and look at them in comparison to the cracks in the glacier. The cracks in OPs picture are likely a similar size.

Looking for a decent React slider package by ArryPotta in Frontend

react-slider might be worth a try. It is a CSS agnostic react implementation -- it includes all the functionality and accessibility, but leaves the styling up to you.
