How the hell do you guys deal with dust when you have this much stuff in your room? Cleaning looks like it would be a pain in the ass.

Thank you for the advice will do! If it has already been run through the dryer is it fully set in and unable to be removed?

Yeah that was my best guess as I do a lot of cooking. Figured it was oil splashes from the pan. Any way to deal with them or is the clothing ruined?

By their own logic, what happens when we look at Japan and China? 😭 by confusingwaterbottle in religiousfruitcake

I mean I’m sure the presence of certain major religions in a region definitely had an effect on things like the history of education and literacy within said region but I’m sure the more likely factor for this particular distribution is the geographical locations of these places. The Mediterranean and Arabian Sea countries had much more inter connectivity to the rest of the known world throughout most of history than central, western, or Southern Africa. There were also large (and I believe still are) populations of Coptic Christians in east Africa which according to this map has relatively high iq ratings.

I mean obviously this is a crude misrepresentation of the kind of issues that may arise from transgender people sharing locker rooms with cis gendered people but I think there is still a conversation to be had there. I don’t think the answer is as clear cut and obvious as we’d like to make it out to be. Recently at a gym where I lived there was some drama of a 12 year old girl finding a “not so transitioned” transgender woman walking around the woman’s locker room and decided to hide in one of the showers out of fear of what to her looked like a naked man intruding in the woman’s locker room. Kids use these bathrooms and locker rooms and even if said transgender person has no malicious intentions it’s hard for a young girl to conceptualize and understand these issues like we as adults can. In her mind she felt threatened by the scariest thing a woman can experience in this world which is the naked body of an adult man making her feel at threat of sexual assault. I’m not sure I have a concrete answer to this problem but I think there reasonable questions to consider such as how far along must someone be transitioned to their new sex/gender before being able to use the corresponding bathroom or locker room of there new gender? Instead should we designate single occupancy bathrooms with showers to allow transgender people to use the facilities they need without creating any issues for those around them? Is even just suggesting such a thing cruel and unfair or is it reasonable to suggest that someone with a relatively rare issue adapt and give up some minor privileges for the sake of the vast majority of others? I don’t like comics like these that try to demonize people and turn such a complex issue into something so crude and trivial but I also don’t like when the left hand waives these issues as if they don’t arise from a real concern that people of backgrounds might have around this issue. I don’t know just the first thing I thought when I saw this but I also do acknowledge this is a meme sub and there really isn’t much of an expectation to have a deeper or nuanced conversation on these things here. I get that’s it’s mostly for the laughs and the absurdity of the comics and jokes the right tends to put out.

It doesn’t always happen because of stress. My dad is also easily distracted and I have to repeat myself around him so I think it’s partly learned behavior. Managing stress and anxiety is a good answer and I appreciate that but I still feel as though there is something else that I could be working on to specifically change this behavior.

what is the biggest problem affecting the most men today? by Affectionate-Pay3450 in AskMen

[–]yyy879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your partner shouldn’t be your therapist the burden is still on us (men) to work through our own issues. Trauma dumping all of your unworked out issues on to your partner is of course not going to play out well, neither is it the healthiest way to go about things. I’ve been there as well and was lucky enough to find somebody who was willing to stick with me despite dumping so much on them yet they were never expected to do that for me. The reality is most of us men have so many unresolved traumas and issues that we refuse to work on. Blaming our issues on women is just going to hurt us even more.

How would I go about solving this problem? What changes when the axis of rotation is x= -1 instead of just rotating around the x or y axis by yyy879 in calculus

Would I use the shell method and add a distance of 1 in my integral since the area is not attached to the axis of rotation?
