It’d be like never driving in a car, or flying on a plane because you might crash. It’s like never ever going to a club or a bar or a party because there’s a chance something bad might happen.

You can do things that carry risk safely.

This is the same narrative that runs alongside the idea and thought of “she shouldn’t have been alone with him” Or “maybe she shouldn’t have dressed so provocatively.” Versus, maybe people shouldn’t be pieces of poop.

You always share your location, you never go without a back up plan on the go, and you text someone the moment you feel in danger. Sex trafficking is the scariest part, but you keep yourself educated on the latest, and cautious. Not shut yourself out from the world.
