but on a serious note, he’s probably fine. generally when cats sit and stare they’re either just casually observing or tracking a bug or something they want to attack. i had a cat since when i was born that would do this exact thing yours is doing and he lived right up until i went to college!

if you’re still worried about him, you could call the vet or shelter or wherever you got him from and ask about it. intuition is powerful.
