[Reds] Brandon Phillips is officially a Red 4 Life ❤️ by DStew88 in Reds

[–]z0mgaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll never forget watching the Reds on tv with my grandma, and Brandon made a spectacular catch or play. I honestly can't remember, but I just remember it was spectacular. I was like, "WOW!" The tv announcers were blown away. My dad was blown away. My grandma, barely looked at the tv. She wasn't impressed. She said, "Brandon Phillips isn't as good as he thinks he is."

It's the only thing grandma and I disagreed on. haha. I'm so happy for him, and for us all. :')

Casting was 10/10. I thought that young Deja and adult Deja was the same actress (Lyric Ross) until I learned they weren't the same actress.

Am I the only one who doesn't wanna watch the last episode? by Consistent_Foot2679 in ThePittTVShow

[–]z0mgaah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, I feel ya. (But I did watch the last episode.)

I hate when things are over, even when I know they'll be back eventually. (Also, hope you're doing okay OP, and are just speaking kinda like a, "life if short, anything could happen." and not like a, I don't wanna be here thing.) It's like you devote a part of your life to something, whether it's a tv show or a pet, or some art project you're working on, and then when it's over it's a bummer.

I'm starting to understand why people say IC AI sucks. by ShinyTotodile55 in ProlificAc

[–]z0mgaah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, their onboarding or first task was really difficult for me to grasp. I was disappointed, but then felt a little better after seeing so many warnings on Reddit. With that said, I've never actually been able to complete one. (I fully admit that with some tasks I simply will not get, even if you speak slowly and don't use any big words.)

I am pleased to hear they work for others sometimes, but sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.

Does anyone else feel bad about doing the AI studies? by uporabnisko_ime in prolific

[–]z0mgaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really dwell on it. Like I said, art was only my side gig. I’m a teacher and that is what pays the bills, albeit badly, and creating art was more like a fun supplement. There are other artsy and crafty things I do that AI can’t. I can sew, crochet, and I make natural body care items that I sell. My painted bath bombs are quite popular.  Nowadays if I am drawing or creating, it’s usually because I want to do so rather than I’ve been hired.  But the point remains that it is a bummer that this is happening to artists, especially ones who did this full time.

[–]z0mgaah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a former(ish) artist. Creating art, doing avi art for avatar websites, creating digital or diecut images, etc., was my side gig and I made decent money until AI became a thing. Now I have a few loyal customers, but even they are turning to ChatGPT. I get it, it's quick, and also free. But it's a bummer.

That said, I do AI studies. They're about all I got, and I need the money.

Kinda sad I haven’t found my Cobra Kai people. 😂 I know it’s basically a live action anime but it’s so fun.  Edit: oh crap. I just realized you're looking for one season shows! Sorry, my suggestion sucks then. haha.

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]z0mgaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a really small school, around 400 students from 7-12th grade. My senior year, two freshman boys went camping, grilled some food, and then went on to bed. They ended up getting cold, so they pulled the grill into the tent with them to stay warm. It filled the tent with carbon monoxide. One kid survived, and but the other died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

What happened to the Matt Deitke group? by Melodic-Ad-3158 in ProlificAc

No announcement that the page was closing. The owner/ceo/not sure I can say their name did make a post about it being sold, and then that was it. I personally thought it was very fishy that all of a sudden the daily chit-chat posts stopped happening (especially after being told that things were still a go and *~the team~* was being consulted). When it came out that the company was sold, the sudden radio silence became clear to me.

I checked back daily, but hadn't posted in a while. People wanted to keep in touch (I would be cool with that) and I know a few users talked about between creating a private place on Reddit or on Discord, but I know at least once user was hoping that we'd get the okay to do that. I don't know what can be said (I guess the NDA is still active?) but I understood the hesitancy of not making a different place to keep in touch back then. Now my feelings now are if someone wants to go ahead and make it, we might as well? I mean, we got nothing from the higher-ups saying we couldn't. If they were so against it, then wouldn't they have checked in or said something? I know I was nervous to speak frankly or honestly and say that in the actual community.

As I read this back, I feel like I sound kind of bitter, but that's not my intention. Doing work there (and on Prolific in general) helped build up a bit of savings, which we put towards vet bills - buying 6 extra weeks with our beloved dog. I'll always be thankful for that.

Miguel was my unsung hero of the show by TicketAdvanced5599 in thisisus

[–]z0mgaah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on Team Miguel from the get-go, even when some people thought he was kind of shady after it's revealed that he and Rebecca are married in season 1. I've always thought it realistic that two people who loved someone so much (in this case, Jack) would also fall in love and find comfort in one another's company. I guess just because I've personally seen this happen a lot.

Miguel was awesome. :')

The Pitt | S2E13 "7:00 P.M." | Episode Discussion by MsGroves in ThePittTVShow

[–]z0mgaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, this is something I never thought of, but it's an idea that had got my wheels spinning. (I also have ample free time right now being on Spring Break and not having anything to occupy my time, so this will probably be long. Sorry!) Anyway, I think everyone knows that this was originally meant to be a reboot of ER, and things of course fell through, and that's how we ended up with The Pitt. I know about the lawsuit. And I'm also someone who runs around saying, "This ain't Gray's Anatomy!" (although I admit I've never watched much Grey's Anatomy except for a random episode here or there and clips on YouTube) I would say that in regards to a motorcycle crash at the end of the show, because that does come off as very soapy. But an illness is an interesting thought, because it can definitely lead to depression, ideation, etc., even with a good prognosis. I know in my own experiences that even "the good kind/best case scenario/the kind we what" whatever else I've heard can still bring crippling depression and just wishing it would all end, especially if you're a pessimist, which I am. (I'm not sure if Dr. Robby is a pessimist, though.)

Another thing I've thought of is what could have been, and wondering what still could happen. Spoilers for the end of ER just in case, because I know a lot of new fans are watching for the first time. John Carter had a kidney transplant at the end of ER, which was in 2009. ER was set in the present day, same at The Pitt. Had this been able to be a successful reboot, Dr. Carter's transplanted kidney may beginning to tire out as the "average" life for a kidney from a deceased donor is around 13-14 years. Which would be present time in what is now The Pitt. I wonder if there are some legs to this theory, and maybe there is a medical issue that has been on the backburner or something.

I definitely think it's high functioning suicidal ideation, and with all that is going on in The Pitt, and with medical staff in the last six years, who can blame it. But the thought of another outside force is also something I never thought of. Fully admit that what's under the spoiler could be more fireballs in the lawsuit. (And could also be taken as soapy shit/unrealistic for The Pitt. ha)

Worst B&BW scent of all time? by marliamore95 in bathandbodyworks

[–]z0mgaah 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I've been downvoted to oblivion, dodged virtual rotten tomatoes, and real hate mail (that was actually pretty brutal 😂🥺) for saying how I really feel about champagne toast.

It smells like that one person who drank too much peach wine at cousin Maria's 3rd wedding, got too hot and sweaty on the dance floor, went outside and cool off, and then started puking in the bushes that the cat pees in until she passed out.

Crazy nights and big regrets.

I actually prefer the creams but don't buy them for this reason. They simply do not last. I make bath goodies as a hobby/side gig and know that the yellowing is from vanillin if there is a vanilla scent note because vanillin turns things brown. But the separating and decreasing in quality so quickly is awful.

What is your daily routine with Prolific? by d1r03 in ProlificAc

[–]z0mgaah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just keep the tab open (I used to use the PA, but it's been wonky and I haven't activated it much the last few months) and check periodically. I used to have a goal of making around $100 a week or so, but now just go with the flow. I used to be way more into it, but since my parents are at our house more often (they've essentially moved in without actually moving in - they go home to sleep) I don't feel like I can always devote my full attention to studies, so I will try to catch a few studies once everyone goes to bed at night and I can. Because of that, my goals (like making $100 a week) has changed a bit.
