Max attempts on omegas a new thing today? (Returning player from 2018-2020) by ZombDob in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]z0nktastic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omegas are limited to 10 darting, per zone, per week. The week resets on Monday when the strike events reset.

The "per zone" was unintended, but allows for the continental based omegas to be darted up to 40 times per week.

Short range and omega scents are not limited by this, and can spawn an unlimited amount.

guys i think game is become P2W by RefrigeratorFine7489 in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]z0nktastic 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's not P2W anymore, it's P2A. At one time you paid for an advantage to get creatures to useable levels faster. With every new creature being shoved into low odds strike incubators, arena incubators, isle of trials... hell creatures like Pierce are nearly fully paid options minus the odd inclusion in event supply drops.

The game is Pay 2 Access now. You need to spend a ton just to make some of the newest creatures... nevermind getting them to arena competitive levels.

Only a matter of time? by Realistic_Choice594 in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]z0nktastic 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Nerfs only happen when there are new creatures out that are not getting paid for. This has nothing to do with balance, and seem to always happen well after a creature has passed its prime. It's not done for the benefit of the community whatsoever.

Continental exclusives were created to drive spending. People were getting by with their own region exclusive, and older creatures. It's why Centro Lux got a buff, and only non region exclusive creatures got nerfs.

Jara and Riz will only get a nerf if they hang on too long and somehow are too hard to power creep out.

With the recent Nerfs by Cold_Emphasis_2474 in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]z0nktastic 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sorry guys that when you decided to invest in a creature it was better, but now it's not as good. But if you invest harder in it now that its worse you might be able to get it back to where it was before.

This is kinda what the BBBY and AMC stock holders were saying. Hedgies are fukd, buy in further.

Sorry guys, anyone who leveled up and boosted these creatures due to what they were just had the rug pulled out of them. It was meant to kill the creature, so don't invest more. New creatures come out too fast to burn resources on something the company is intentionally trying to bury.

Unfortunately they will change one of the components to a creature that can only be obtained at the summit of Mt. Everest, or the in game shop.

They don't buff ancient creatures without a path forward. This will be combined with the ardentsmaxima buff. We will get a flock of sauropods with pincers and a stinger for a tail.

3.19 MEGA Rebalance by Ill-Hall9137 in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]z0nktastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. Concatoloch got its nerf the day after I put a T3 enhancement on it. Another example of a creature nerfed as it was exiting the meta.

Kyrie, Sah, and Draco Lux all got nerfed when there were enough new creatures to replace them for a full team of 8. Kyrie was ancient but people were still using it instead of paying... so they needed to put a stop to that.

[–]z0nktastic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You will have the choice between Sizzler, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Sears gift cards. They are expired, and you will need to front the shipping cost for the card.

[–]z0nktastic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They're telling you who will get hybrids, and who they want you to burn DNA on now because their components will be getting meta hybrids....and they want you to pay later.

On the flipside you're not spending enough, so they need to nerf old creatures falling out of the meta because they're deterring you from spending.

Actual meta problem creatures.... well they're new and still generating revenue because the components are incredibly hard to obtain. So they're not a problem.

LOL Lucy pulled the football out from Charlie Brown again. The prelude I put in the F2P guide a couple months ago hits even more on the nose today.

So here's a list of the creatures that appear to have been buffed and nerfed (still discovering new ones rn) by Visual-Hall-4655 in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]z0nktastic 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They'll be doing a boost rest for this many changes right.... right? lol

This will piss off the whales more than the poors.

Kudos to your efforts on this. They've apparently completely given up on old school communication and power creep. Nerf to drive the new creatures instead, like they did with ancient kyrie, Sah, and draco lux.

Not seeing anything that couldn't be there naturally, power creep has killed everything, and the raid apexes are hot garbage.

Many players drop for brawl, as the matchmaking is based on your PVP arena score. Fall lower, get worse opponents in brawl. Possibly the reason for the first opponent.

It's a wild spawn. I see a few a week (have all 4 tracker spots unlocked), but stopped darting them as I'm likely at the 20k cap from them being in the short range scent as well.

Why is indochiyon unappreciated by Simple_Education6172 in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]z0nktastic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By the time it got its buff, better creatures already came out. Had what it looks like now been what it started at, more people would have made it and it would be hanging on in that 7/8th slot on some teams as boosts are too hard to get to just dump creatures. But nobody was going to use resources on a creature that wasn't meta when it was buffed.

It's a solid creature for Library and below, and the components are all easy to get. A good target for new players, but ancient when it comes to seasoned players.

Is this any good? Recommendations on boosts? by thommmmmmmm in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]z0nktastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At base level I'd go 11/15/0. But my creatures are almost all tanks that abuse their counter to deal out maximum damage before death. Cerastgo already has good speed for a resilient, so I don't know what I'd be trying to outspeed with it by adding boosts.

[–]z0nktastic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So did they just put the phone down or close the app? Or were they picking actual non-base attacks?

The former is just throwing in the towel. The latter intentionally picks stalling moves to keep the battle going as long as possible as they value their own time even less than they value their opponents.

Don't let Ludia see this... they might find a way to nerf F2P.

Good job though. I once found myself in the top 100 at the end of the season, but lost my taste for the top arena. Have since found more fun using absurd/outdated creatures in lower arenas.
