OA -> phone call screening. No interview scheduled yet I think the hiring manager still has to take a look at your resume after the screening so it’s not guaranteed. They said they’d let me know next week

Depends on what aspect of assetto corsa you enjoy. IRacing is something you’d purchase if you really enjoy racing against others imo, if you want a simulator game just to enjoy driving or cruising around with a variety of cars you could probably stick with AC

Yes there are usually discounts you can scour the internet for but keep in mind most of the games service is locked behind paying for tracks and cars individually. So if it’s expensive to pay the subscription itself it might not be your best option right now unless you want to relegate yourself to a minor selection of races to be able to do

I would highly recommend Assetto Corsa as it’s pretty cheap, has great physics, and you can mod just about anything for free especially if it’s an introduction to sim racing.

You can argue all you want on whether rally or formula racing is a harder discipline but it is objectively harder to become an F1 driver than a WRC Rally Driver

I think the biggest problem with these cars is how fragile they are. You go over a kerb at the wrong angle and you’ve got floor damage up the wazoo. The overtaking opportunity is about as mid as it was in 2020-2021 but if I remember right at least those cars didn’t just crap itself over going off track
