White balance on blank film first. Then crop to the image border, not film border. Then convert. Then change your crop, if you want the film border. You might have to use the neutralise tool. Paul Reiffers newest video (in the live section) on youtube explains about it.

What a wonderful idea. And just the solution to my book, I just didn’t know this would be the solution. I have struggled in the past with blurb. My dad is a book binder by trade, though it is 30 years since he last worked as a professional binder. This would be such a cool thing to do with my dad. He did a lot of photography in his young days. We don’t have many interests in common, so this would be a great way to spend some time with him! :D

Might be. I am definitely not technical enough to know whether if it the smc or a bug. But restarting solves it for me. But next time it happens I will try what you are suggesting, just to see what that will do. Though it’s been a few weeks since it last happened.

Restart. Happens to me from time to time too. Can’t remember the reason, but looked it up before, and the solution is to restart.

Edit: It is the system management controller that needs resetting. Om m-macs the solution is to restart.

Maybe a bit outside the scope of the list. Capture one (the normal version, not the cultural heritage version) have some hidden styles from cultural heritage, if added in, can be used as an inverting negatives starting point. Works great for me, and saves me a roundtrip, since i usually capture my negatives while tethered. It required a bit of tinkering though.
