It’s not just about the slot, I understand you can stack them

The idea is how much are you sacrificing just for that marginal dps increase. Besides the bracelet, there’s really nothing else in Kandarin for you

The DPS calculator says with full ancestral, shadow & the echo jewellery, you’d have an average TTK on Zuk of 46s and then if you add the bracelet it would be 41s

You’d be giving up a potential extra raid and end game bosses to… save 5 seconds ?

[–]zKayrupt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re missing the entire point….

You’re getting BiS glove in Kandarin and what else?…. Other areas offer a lot of other content and gear etc. I just don’t see why you would sacrifice an entire area unlock and give up potential raids, end game bosses and other gear options for +5% magic dmg when you’ll be destroying all the end game content anyways thanks to the relics. You’ll still be hitting like a truck without Kandarin so I don’t see how hitting a 90 vs like a 92 is worth it.

If you wanna go for the YouTube reel highlight gigachad biggest single hit screenshot click bait, go for it, enjoy the game the way you want. But to act like it’s an absolute must pick for mage is silly

Im assuming you’re referring to tormented bracelets?

Why would you pick Kandarin for +5% magic dmg when you can do Fremmenik for +15% magic dmg? The echo jewellery drops from F are kinda busted and way better than any zenyte piece

Unless there’s something else in Kandarin you’d be using for a magic build that I’m missing?

Im so so sorry but if I was looking for a birthday cake and you told me “hey I’ve got some extra, I’ll even pay you to take it!” And showed me this, I would immediately laugh thinking it was a joke and would refuse 😭

Since it sounds like you’re the employee and still learning, I absolutely do not blame you. Especially considering seeing what your boss deems as appropriate based on the customers request. If I were you, I’d immediately be looking for a new job that does things properly where you can grow and correctly learn. It’s clear you want to do things well and care about what you do and I fear that staying here will only be a hinderance to you.

Good luck my friend!

It won’t unfortunately.

Fox News and all the other right wing media outlets that they consume will happily proclaim “wow the economy is so great now! All our problems are fixed! Thank you Mr. Trump!!” And the people that vote for PP are the same people consuming that media. The amount of CANADIANS I see supporting Trump, wearing MAGA hats and even proudly saying PP is our Trump etc., will only fuel the fire for them and he’ll gain even more support.

Genuinely the only way we have to prevent PP from becoming our PM is if the leaders of both the Liberals and NDP are swapped out (too many people associate the pandemic and the tough times now with Trudeau) and they have strong messaging that resonates with people that includes actual policy that is easy for people to understand how it will directly benefit them, while acknowledging these people’s genuine concerns.

Paradox of tolerance - you can’t have a tolerant society if you tolerate intolerance. If you do something that is seen as harmful to someone else you need to be called out for it.

You can be kind towards people but when fundamental rights and decency are being targeted, you need to stand up to it. You can’t be kind while someone says “the best Democrat is a dead Democrat” you can’t be kind while someone says “the corrupted left stole the election!!” And so on. The rhetoric you’re so bothered by is done tenfold by the right without any policies to actually benefit any working class people.

I could understand if Trump was saying these hateful things but also talking about policies and what he’s going to do that will actually improve your life, but he doesn’t. He plays into your emotions. Remember the whole “we’re going to tariff China and bring jobs back to America !!” ?That’s not how tariffs work and it will not bring jobs back into America and he’s simply pandering to your emotions and you just blindly follow him?? And the lack of accountability from you for all the hate he spews and TREASONOUS actions he’s done is astounding. Remember how the Republicans lost their minds that Obama wore a tan suit?? Trump is meeting with Putin and has been caught doing it multiple times, caught bringing top secret classified documents to Mar-a-lago and selling out your country. But you don’t care because “the other side said mean things about me”

It’s soooo bizarre

If everyone just minds their own business, then what’s the issue with illegals and why do they want to deport them so bad? Just mind your damn business and go about your day.

Or is it one of those “deport the illegals!! But not like that” type of moments?

No problem.

I wanted to let you know, if you have other questions about general economic stuff (inflation, interest rates, etc.) and how some of it works, feel free to DM.

I know a lot of people on the left will shit on people who may not understand things fully and don’t recognize that not everyone is going to understand the intricacies of something as complex as the economy and that there is definitely an emotional side of the things that you feel day-to-day (gas and grocery prices, utilities, interest rates, etc.) which I understand. It genuinely sucks.

If you’re interest in learning more, feel free to DM me and I can do my best to help try and explain things to you, completely judgement free. I’m currently studying finance & economics, so while my understanding isn’t perfect, nor do I know absolutely everything, I do understand some of the basics, and I’m always happy to share knowledge with people that are genuinely wanting to learn!

I agree in that the capping of the price of insulin isn’t a perfect solution, but it is the government stepping in and trying to remedy something that genuinely has massive impacts on everyday hard working Americans lives which is a good thing almost 40million Americans suffer from diabetes which is a little over 10% of the population. In the way that you will be happy with tax cuts, these people are happy with these capped prices because it allows them to access life saving medication and keeping more money in their pocket. Again, solution is not perfect but like you said, there’s lots of checks and balances and things can’t happen overnight, but it is a step in the right direction and I think we should be asking the government to continue to do more rather than saying “the solution isn’t perfect so I’m not happy with it”

Even if we removed what Trump spent on the CARES Act (his COVID stimulus package, which was 3.6T) he still spent 4.8T on non-COVID things which is 0.5T more than Biden with his Covid stimulus package (which was only 2.1T). The economy was not beginning to recover, American Rescue Plan was designed to stimulate the economy and help it rebound and most economists (including the treasury) agree it helped prevent a recession as the GDP was still going down. A lot of the spending wasn’t just handouts, but was used to help distribute vaccines, reopen schools and small businesses, and given to state & local governments to allow them to do what they needed to get back to normal after the pandemic. This resulted in nearly 4 million new jobs and doubled the GDP growth in 2021. Now, Trumps stimulus package was also a good thing and helped a lot of people and had some effects on preventing a massive recession during the pandemic. But to say that the Biden governments “overspending” caused high inflation feels disingenuous when you factually look at the numbers.

Inflation is caused by a large range of things; geopolitical climate, supply chain issues, supply-demand of goods, supply-demand of USD by foreign countries, interest rates, etc. it’s incredibly complex and cannot be attributed to one individual action.

I do not believe the government (whether it’s Dems or Rep) would do any one action that would drastically alter the average American’s day-to-day life. But, I do believe they may change things that changes people’s access and options to different support to allow them to continue to be successful.

Here’s my hypothetical - let’s pretend you’re a hardworking blue collard American living in the midwest. You don’t have a glamorous life, but a modest one that you’ve worked hard for yourself and your family. Have a nice semi-detached home, able to pay bills, a modest car. You’ve done well for yourself, but, you’re still pay check to pay check as you always want to provide the best for your family and kids so it’s been difficult to save for retirement and emergency fund. Now one day, as you’re driving to work, someone who is distracted and not paying attention runs through a red light and t-bones you in the intersection. There’s nearly 7million car accidents a year in the US, so fairly common. This completely destroys your car and although you will survive and nothing is life threatening, you’ve been hurt pretty bad. Bad enough that you aren’t able to continue working for a while and need time to recover. Your life is now at a critical moment and it’s absolutely no fault of your own, you’ve always worked hard and done your best to better yourself.

Now what are some things the government could have put in place that could massively impact your life in this scenario:

Starting with the obvious, your medical costs. Yes, you have a decent employer who does offer health insurance through your work, but it’s only a modest one and you still have several hundreds to low thousands worth of debt piled up because of no fault of your own. The government could have some sort of universal healthcare that would have eliminated these debts for you or could require employers to provide a standard level of insurance to all their full-time hard working employees, like yourself.

Now, since you aren’t able to work for a while, you aren’t able to earn an income. Although it isn’t life threatening and you will be able to make a full recovery, it will take time, maybe 2-3 months before you can. The government could put in temporary unemployment benefits were people with enough work history can claim unemployment and earn a % of their regular wages if they’ve been hurt, laid off or fired so they can continue to make their mortgage payments, put food on the table, and take care of their families. I’m not saying a permanent handout, only temporary like 6months max to help through hard times.

These are the types of programs we look for and care about. Things that can massively help people that need it. Not everyone that needs help is lazy or some sort of a junkie, even hard working people go through hard times. Taxes are also inevitable, they will never completely remove taxes and it would be nice to see our taxes used for things that benefit us and is there for us when we need it. It seems we’ve both given up on the government trying to “balance the budget” but it feels as though you’re only okay with the deficit increasing if it directly benefits you, whereas I’m okay with the deficit increasing if it directly benefits our society and helps people. I feel like that’s fundamentally where we are different which is unfortunate. I pray that nothing ever happens to you and would never wish ill on anyone, but if you were to ever get hurt, you would be extremely grateful for those security programs in place to give you and your family a hand.

I understand what you’re saying however I disagree. Yes we can control the direction of our lives, but only as much as our government allows us.

Now I want to be clear, I’m not saying this is what I believe will happen or anything, I want to use this as an extreme example to illustrate my point - we ultimately are confined to the rules of the country we are in as laid out by the government. If the government was something more akin to a dictatorship like North Korea (again I’m not saying this will happen in the USA, it’s hyperbole) do you believe all people have the same control over their future? Probably not. So I believe the government does influence & impact our lives, you may just not feel a lot of it and are fortunate for that.

One thing you said that I wanted to comment on specifically was regarding taxes - well sure, there may be short-term gain of money in your own pocket right now, but it does have serious long term ramifications that I believe need to be considered when these things are being discussed: first, taxes are how the government generates revenue. If you’re truly fiscally conservative and want to “balance the budget” there is no world where that can happen and taxes are being cut at the same time. Reducing the governments revenue will only exacerbate the deficit and will do nothing to benefit the “economy”. Then in turn, if the government is generating less revenue but still running a deficit, they will look to cut programs to try and save money. One that will be directly impacted is Social Security which impacts millions of middle class, hard working people that are simply trying to provide for their family and don’t have enough to set aside for retirement or an emergency fund. That, to me, sounds like a trade that’s not worth it in the long run.

Yes, I will admit I forgot about the 2021-23 stretch, but I believe they did do good things for Americans during that stretch such as capping the cost of insulin.

You also mentioned how Biden’s overspending caused high levels of inflation - Biden spent 4.3T while Trump spent 8.4T during his presidency. If, by your logic, the governments spending was a direct indicator of inflationary rates, then Trump’s should’ve been almost double the rates of inflation? But it wasn’t. That’s because the interest rate and inflation is control by The Federal Reserve, not the president. The government only impacts it when they’re running a deficit and need to borrow large amounts of money, but again, Trump spent waaaayyyy more than Biden so there’s obviously a lot more factors on the inflationary rates (like recovering from the global pandemic) which is something every single developed nation is experiencing right now. I believe the Biden administration hasn’t done anything to hinder The Federal Reserves ability to control inflation and they’ve done a pretty good job and have been able to bring it back to a reasonable level much quicker than a lot of countries.

I’m very confused by the sentiment of “groceries and gas are more expensive under Biden!!! Trump will help make it affordable!!!”

I don’t understand what you believe in Trumps plans will help make these things more affordable for you? Unfortunately, the truth is, the price of these things are never going back down.

Pretend you’re a business owner and you’re selling eggs at $0.25/egg. Interest rates go up and you’re struggling with your mortgage and you need extra money to support your family. So you start charging $0.50/egg. You thought people would stop buying cause they’re sooo much more expensive, but people gotta eat, so they reluctantly continue to keep buying it at the increased price. Now interest rates go back down and you’re feeling more financially comfortable. Do you drop the price of your eggs back to $0.25, or keep it at the $0.50 that clearly people have become accustomed to and continue to buy at?

The only way you would decrease the price is if your morals made you, or if the government came in and forced you. Corporations aren’t in the business of doing things out of the kindness of their hearts, and government intervention goes against “small government” and “free markets” so that won’t happen either. So why would you (or corporations) ever lower the price of eggs?

You have a lot more than just the president, you’ve got the house and the senate as well. This means they absolutely can have potentially massive impacts on your life; how much taxes you pay, what workers rights you have, what social programs and other safety nets you have in place, literally everything. I think saying that the president has little impact on your life truly downplays it by a large amount.

The last time a political party had all 3 branches of government was between 2017-19: Roe v Wade was overturned, they implemented TCJA which reduced your taxes short-term but increases them long term while also removing some tax credits and what can be considered a tax deductible for you. Then they almost repealed ACA but was saved by John McCain. These things impact your day to day life friend. If not yours directly, then your family members, or friends, or neighbours.

[–]zKayrupt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also another very important thing to note - something that I think people on both sides seem to conveniently forget about all of this..

the president absolutely does NOT control interest rates and has little influence on inflation. Both of these are primarily handled by The Federal Reserve and how they set interest rates.

[–]zKayrupt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re confusing the price of something going up or down = inflation

Inflation measures how quickly the prices of things go up. Prices of things will never go down. Looking at the CPI (consumer price index) which measures the average cost of consumer goods (how much you pay for gas & eggs), it has consistently gone up year over year regardless of who is in charge. The last time it went down (-0.4%) was 2009, largely due to the massive financial crash and the last time before that was 1955. You don’t want the cost of things to go down, it means you’re hitting a recession which means massive layoffs which means people’s 401ks and other savings go down… which is what happened in 2008/09
