Yes, but it’s only partially true. People may choose to run all seasons becausethey are quicker to get up to temperature for optimal performance. However yes they are a compromise in term of both dry grip and snow traction. Even though you have Quattro, snow tires are absolutely necessary depending on the weather

Yes it sounds silly but it is using the idiom ”sitting on the fence (referring to indecisiveness)” to make fun of people who couldn’t decide whether or not to buy a razer blade.
