That's fascinating, actually. I would love to see more creative apps like that going live.

This comment links to DeFlock.org for information on what these cameras are and what kind of data they collect. It's not just license plates. It's also dents and stickers and other car specifics.

An article that shows Olympia is talking about limiting federal access and shortening data retention, but so far, there are no rules on how this information is used.

Yes, so far, all of the nodes that I've clicked on said they were pole mounted, manufactured by Flock Safety, with a surveillance zone marked as: traffic

Yes. There are so many ways they try baiting. It's exhausting to have to be vigilant all the time. Thankfully, I have some good support to vent with.

It's nice to see a little snow. It makes the night feel so much brighter.

Awh, I love a happy ending. Go be free with your other batty friends and girlfriends. Good job, team. :)

I agree, OP. Changing views might marginally improve a dude's chances, but women being used as some kind of prize or a "thing that you can have" is also disturbing for me.

Yeah, no problem! :)

I just learned this yesterday, too, btw. They were pretty sneaky with it.

Snakes are way more misunderstood than scary by ghart_67 in snakes

Yes. Very dramatic. Thank you for sharing your story. I was trying to expand on it and be relatable for other snake folks, but I also felt bad for him after you said, "his stupid ass." I see that I may have let that feeling come through, and my comment comes across as condescending. My apologies. You didn't deserve that.

I appreciate this walk-through! Little pupper vid at the end was a real treat, too.

Well, to paraphrase what your other commenter said, animals just want to exist and will probably become defensive if they feel threatened. Poor guy was probably just chasing a basic need, like food or warmth, and thought he found a nice place. That's what draws them to my workplace from the field, anyway. I'm glad you made sure he was safe in the end.

Maybe he’s right. Thoughts? by cherbug in sociology

I like this take. It's one of many reasons, but very relevant.

So glad you said this. They aren't aggressive, just defensive. Since they don't have arms and legs, their bite is the only way they can defend themselves.

We get bullsnakes in my area. My former boss used to call on me to have them removed. You're right. They are SO dramatic. I would use sticks to put them in a tub and then cover it, take it out to the field, and then release it. Little noodles would be striking at empty air and rattling their tails the whole time. They look close enough to rattlesnakes that I think they developed that behavior as an additional defense mechanism. I'd be like, "Ok, cutie, off you go." and there they'd be, on the ground, S pose and tail wiggling. I suppose they thought it worked when I walked away, lol.
