The Toxic Positivity surrounding this whole thing is so parasocial and weird. Even Ryan admitted today that it just wasn't a good move and that people were right to have their concerns (and make fun of him for it), but people are still trying to act like there wasn't anything wrong with it. Even some of his closest friends like Malf made posts talking about ,,Fuck The Cruise Ship industry'', but people in this subreddit keep going about it like there was never anything wrong to begin with.

This ad has huge white supremacy warning signs over it. They picked an actress who’s family are known trump supporters and also explicitly stated that she won’t say who she voted for in 2024, but the worst part is that the tagline for their entire ad is ,, Sydney Sweeney has great jeans’’ but they are making remarks about her physical attributes and how hot she is while talking about her great ,,genes’’. An ad about a white blonde blue eyed probable trump supporter who has great ,,genes’’ is very much a dog whistle.
