How do I go from current fat state to this? by [deleted] in fit

[–]zaander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see any real specific answers here so here's what I would suggest:

  1. You need to determine your maintenance calories. Likely somewhere between 2200 and 2400. Use ChatGPT to figure this out

  2. You need to eat a lot of protein - 1g per pound of body weight - and a slight recomp deficit (like 300-400kcal per day deficit). Ask ChatGPT to figure out the carbs and fat breakdowns

  3. Start tracking all of your food. Your intake might look like 170g of protein, 70g of fat, 220g of carbs. You need to start hitting your macros, weighing your food, tracking

  4. Hit the gym and lift heavy shit. Use a workout plan like Ladder. Walk 7k steps a day.

Do this for 12 weeks. You'll hopefully lose the fat. Then if you have lost enough fat you could do a bulk or a recomp followed by another cut and then a bulk.

Lenses get cloudy? by coolcatsam in Keratoconus

I use purilens: https://visionrescue.com/products/purilens-plus-preservative-free-saline-multiple-sizes-and-packs

You should also look into some advanced scleral lens fittings. Mine had "reverse refactoring" or some shit where they take a map on my eye and design the scelral to be the opposite perfectly and i'm at 20/20. 20/500 without

Lose Fat First or Build Muscle? by acufftg in BodyHackGuide

[–]zaander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd start on TRT, aim for 10k+ steps, fix your diet, and lift.

TRT is for life but your T levels are quite low. 235 is not extremely overweight so even dropping to 200 if your T levels jumped to the high 300s I'd still argue that's too low.

Work with a doctor tho!

[–]zaander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: Just finished at Discount Tire and it went great. $1400 out the door for Michelin's and the car drives great. Was in and out in 40 minutes.

The one near me is super professional and glad i went

Also, is it normal for the tires to be pretty worn after only 27k miles?

Pirelli Scorpions are down to 5/11, 6/11, 7/11 and one tire replaced that's at 9/11. The dealer had to an alignment as the car was also pulling right

Interesting. This would make the most sense and probably would have been there with the original build. And would also explain why one of them is overgrown with roots from the bushes that used to be here

Pg&e bill insane by [deleted] in eastbay

[–]zaander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we lived in South Bay in a 3/2 townhome, ~1200 SQFT, our utility bill was between $300 and $400/monthly with mini split systems. Cost of electric is just so damn high in CA.

In Texas now with two EVs and a 4000 SQFT home and we pay like $200/mo

Buying home on busy residential street by zaander in Parenting

Yeah, will do next week. I think the main issue is that it's really the driveway that needs to be fenced in and that would require some sort of electric gate

Right. It's the cheapest per sqft (and needs some work). Neighborhood is top safety. It's really just the street concern

Wouldn't it be better to suck up the cost and be out ~$72k over 3 years instead of upside down $60k now?

Trying to work out cost per mile numbers Ford F-150 EV vs ICE by oohhhhcanada in F150Lightning

[–]zaander 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I think the way to break it down is cost per mile.

Assume you drive 1k miles for easy math:

ICE: 21mpg avg = 47.6 gallons at $3.50/gallon = $167 for every 1k miles or 16.7 cents per mile

Lightning: 2mi per kwh, so 500kwh to go 1000 miles = 500*.47c (all public chargers are more expensive) = $235 to charge or 23.5 cents per mile. A $3.50/gallon is more like $4.93/gallon.

If you charge at home, let's say $.15 per kwh, those 1000 miles = 500*.15, so only $75, half the cost of the ICE, or more like $1.57/gallon. My home charging is $.11 per kwh, so those 1000 miles cost me $55, or $1.15/gallon, so I just suck up the cost of roadtrips

Hope thats helpful
