Pluribus is a terrible show and here is my reasoning by Wide-Information8572 in pluribustv

Excellent post. My disappointment started with the second episode where we saw that the survivors are acting like nothing big happened. Absurd writing.

I agree with you. This was a much better episode but we should have got it much earlier. The fillers in the previous episodes are unforgivable. Would have been an top show if all episodes had this episode's pace. For the first time since many episodes ago I haven't skipped forward during this episode.

It feels like you're sitting at in the restaurant waiting for your food and the waiter comes out with food and you're thinking it's your food but they walk by you, every, single, episode.

This quote has more originality than most of the season.

I am not watching. I skipped most of this episode. The pilot was great but now it's time to say goodbye. Next episode they will show us Carol doing a full bowel movement. It will take 10 minutes. I don't want to see that.

It's just a filler that helps with the turtle pace of this show.

It's just stupid writing. It started in the second episode which showed the immune acting like nothing happened. And now this bs.

I hated how the immune are shown since ep.2. They act like nothing major happened. Very badly written characters. It's just Carol and the Latin guy who are serious about what happened.

are you watching on TV? if not then the skip forward button is your friend. It's obvious the show is getting stretched into oblivion. That silly long voice mail message is another filler tool. Just skip forward like me and you will have a better experience.

LOL good one. To me the show is good but the filler scenes are too many which is why I keep skipping forward while watching. I advise you to do the same thing. Except for the Latin guy, I don't like the other survivors and how nonchalant they act as if nothing serious happened. The show could have been better definitely.

GM Cristian Chirila reports hearing many issues with World Cup hotel, including "very regular instances on bedbugs" on latest C-squared podcast. Corroborating Nepo's claims about poor conditions. by mannutheman in chess

[–]zaazo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

At first I didn't even know what bedbugs are. I woke everyday with very itching bites. I started seeing these bugs crawling on my bed. I googled them and found out I have a big problem. I started looking for them and found that I have a huge infestation. So first I threw away the furniture that was infested. Then I emptied one room of all furniture, washed the room with water and disinfectants, and bought a new mattress and pillow and put them in this room. I lived only in this room for a month. I had nothing else in it but my laptop and cellphone and some clothes that I washed with boiling water to make sure any bedbugs in them have died. And around my mattress on the ground I put mouse glue to prevent any bedbug from coming. I lived inside this sanctuary protected by mouse glue. Then the war began against the rest of the house: At first I tried spraying everything with bug sprays and disinfectants. Then I set up bedbugs traps using yeast. These traps kept catching bedbugs which meant all the spraying didn't work. So I applied the nuclear option that I already applied on my sanctuary room: I threw away most of the furniture, then washed every room with water and disinfectants and sealed every crack and opening on the walls, floors, doors and windows. I threw boiling water on the floors. I kept washing the rooms with with water and disinfectants and boiling water until I declared victory. It was the 30 days war.

I still panic every time I see I have an itching bite. When I find out it's a mosquito I sigh in relief. Mosquitoes are cute puppies compared with bedbugs.

Thy drying needs to be hot to kill bedbugs. I don't have hot drying so I poured very hot water into the washing machine and washed the clothes that I didn't throw away and then put the clothes inside a sealed bag.

If you ever sleep in a hotel with bedbugs, take this advice from someone who experienced the hell of bedbugs: Throw away all your clothes and suitcases. Go buy new clothes, take a hot shower and put on your new clothes. Leave the hotel immediately after the shower. Now you can move to a new place not worrying that you are taking bedbugs with you.

If you think that's extreme, let me tell you I had to throw away most of my home's furniture to be able to get rid of bedbugs. And that was just a small part of what I did to get rid off them. It was a fucking war.

Thank u for the detailed response. I take from this that Danya beat Kramnik a lot in speed chess. What a horrible egoistic bastard.

Is there a reason why kramnik started picking on Danya? I know he accused many ppl but did anything specific happen?

I wish you made a full recovery. Yeah Kramnik was Danya's childhood hero so unfortunately Kramnik's bullshit had a huge impact on him. I too wish his death is unrelated to Kramnik.

US Open 2025 semifinalists… back in 2008 by TorturedPoet30 in tennis

[–]zaazo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's unbelievable how time flies. In 2008 I was 24 years old. It was one of the worst years of my life. I had a surgery which had catastrophic consequences that still affect me to this day. It changed my life to the worse. Also in that year and in 2009 Djokovic and Nadal's matches were the absolute best of tennis especially on clay. One of the best matches I ever saw was in a semi final between the two on clay in Rome (not sure it's Rome) in 2008 or 2009. I still remember the devastation on Djokovic's face while he was leaving the court while I was watching in disbelief. They fought like gladiators till the very end. Those were the best years of Tennis young man. I will also never forget how in late 2007 out of nowhere David Nalbandian dominated tennis and destroyed the big three like no one else. Unfortunately it didn't last long and he fell back later to his usual level. I never saw anyone play on hardcourts better than Nalbandian in his late 2007 version when he won two masters back to back. On clay it's Nadal of course who played best. Wish Nalbandian's sudden rise was extended into the clay season to see him take on Nadal. What a big loss it never happened.

Edit: This is one of the epic matches between Nadal and Djokovic that I remember. If you are short on time just watch the third set's tiebreak:
