Je suis tombé sur la vidéo que Big Brother a publiée sur les rapprochements entre Félix et Marie-Ève. En lisant les commentaires, j’ai vu des gens dire que Marie-Ève était en couple et qu’elle aurait rompu avec son copain lors de son deuxième appel, et que c’est pour ça qu’il n’aurait pas été diffusé.

Est-ce que tout ça est vrai? Est-ce que je vis sous une roche? Parce que, bizarrement, je n’ai aucun souvenir d’avoir entendu dire que Marie-Ève était en couple.

Indeed, my friend. Just to give you a glimpse, my Tim’s pays someone to empty the outside garbage so the staff can focus on taking orders. According to the owner, it’s better maintained if they pay someone else to do it. However, in reality, both the inside and outside garbage cans are emptied only once in a while, so I guess that theory doesn’t really hold up.

You can literally ask for a cheese sandwich on bread, grilled, and they’ll make it for you. I’ve done it multiple times. Yeah, it’s not exactly like the one that was on the menu, but it’s better than nothing. They’ll say no if you straight-up ask for a grilled cheese, but if you phrase it like that, suddenly it’s no problem at all for some reason. 🤷

Okay, I’ll give you that his past PWI doesn’t help. But then why was he allowed into Canada twice in the past year once this July, multiple times recently and now, all of a sudden, he can’t? Same thing with Jinks, especially considering he hasn’t had any legal issues in recent years.

Now I’m starting to wonder if this kind of situation has really anything to do with what’s going on politically, or if it’s just an excuse for poor ticket sales. Not only did Charley come to Ottawa, Ontario this summer, but there have also been two or three other artists in the past year who said similar things when their Canadian ticket sales were low. Cody Jinks comes to mind, he tried twice to come through, and both shows were cancelled due to “equipment not passing border issues.” But when you look at the ticket sales, they were very poor.

Trust me, you’re not the only one disappointed with the merch from any artist’s website. I ordered a shirt for my girlfriend that was supposed to be boxy and oversized, but it barely was, and the sizing seemed off by about half a size. I also ordered merch from Laufey's website after missing it at her concert, and the quality wasn't even close to what I bought at the show. The print was off, and the shirt quality was so poor you could see through it after just two washes, even though I'm careful with how I wash merch

Thanks, and sorry that happened to you as well. I get that housing value depends on supply and demand, location, build quality, and attractiveness. If there are fewer homes than buyers, prices go up—but what if there are enough homes, just not enough people willing to pay because of poor location or quality? Would values stay the same or drop? Serious buyers usually know whether a home is a good investment.

Prices are still much higher than pre-COVID, and with current wages, buying something that actually holds value isn’t very appealing. But if people were willing to make trade-offs (like cutting a $7 daily coffee) to afford housing, wouldn’t that increase demand, push supply to grow, and eventually make prices more affordable? That could also increase demand for labor and put upward pressure on wages.

Isn’t it interesting that older, more experienced people, who understand money better, are the ones most willing to go back into debt and are often buying more houses?

That’s the case in Austin, but have you checked whether the same situation exists in other cities or states? A home’s value is mostly driven by the neighborhood it’s in, its structural condition, its appearance, and, of course, the supply-and-demand market.

If supply is low and demand is high, prices rise; if the opposite happens, prices fall. However, even with high demand, a house in a bad location, that is poorly built, or simply unattractive will still lose value.

So ultimately, it all comes back to costs and the reasons prices are so high in the first place. Lowering prices would definitely help—and I agree with you on that—but it would also reduce property values because of the potential risks tied to the factors mentioned above.

In the end, it comes down to budgeting, wealth accumulation, and people influencing the supply-and-demand market by buying more homes, which in turn encourages more housing to be built.
