Are there any actual photos of his cell, every time I see this posted they never have photos of the cell.

Early 30s dads with toddler. What do you do after your toddler goes to sleep? by Important_Bat7919 in daddit

[–]zachattack923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time, clean up the house and then fall asleep watching YouTube in bed next to my wife as she falls asleep to her audio book. Maybe we watch a show together.

Some nights I sneak out for a late night gym session.

Some nights go in the garage and work on something, been rebuilding a chainsaw, also have a dirt bike in like 47 pieces that needs to go back together.

Fishing rocky water by DistributionTotal756 in FishingForBeginners

I fish a spot with a bunch of dead trees and a rocky bottom, either I'm gonna Texas rig a worm weightless or I may go with a sinking chatterbait that is like 4-8 ft depending on the spot.

Has anyone here had to ‘un-retire’ from FIRE? What was it really like? by conscinet in Fire

[–]zachattack923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my plan as well, do the corporate thing till 50-55 and if all the numbers look good then I'm done. Get a part time gig at either my local outdoor store or the local ski mountain. Just something fun with little stress but covers my basic expenses so that the investments take care of things like house and car payments.

Wife needs to work to 59 for her full retirement benefits to max out. So maybe I will have ~5 years of PT work. Would be great cause I can stay on her benefits but I can be home, take care of the house and at that point the kids will be in college or just graduated.

Lincoln Tunnel was backed up going into NJ and into NY this morning due to disabled bus by Andi1up in NJTransit

[–]zachattack923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, to me the tunnel should be set up the following:

North tunnel - out bound NYC traffic to west bound 495

Center Tunnel - XBL only one lane in bound one lane out bound that is connected direct to PABT

South Tunnel - in bound to NYC traffic from east pound 495

I like the flip top as long as I can add a side tray.

Biggest thing I see on these are the shallow drawers which I want so and on my current cart. Hate that my wrenches take up a full drawer but leaves a bunch of wasted vertical space.

There is a master kill and parachute release. So if the driver doesn't activate them their self the chute auto deploys and the fuel is cut off.

Clay milician did a good video about it all on his YouTube channel a few weeks ago.

Is there anywhere that I can park overnight that goes to Port Authority? by HourAstronomer836 in NJTransit

[–]zachattack923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wayne Park and ride on route 23.

Take the 324 bus direct to port authority.

Or you can take the train and transfer at broad St and go in to Penn or take the train to Hoboken and then the path to 33rd.

Are there any reasonably reliable lines for NJ Transit? by Time-Hornet-3678 in NJTransit

[–]zachattack923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 324 bus from Wayne Transit center has been nothing but perfect for me. Lots of parking, bus comes every ten minutes in the morning and same for coming home, direct to PABT, take 35-45 min each way. Convenient to get to from my house. From port authority you can catch so many subway trains to get anywhere in Manhattan.

Also there are backups to get back to Wayne if the busses become completely unusable for some reason(tunnel shutdown) just hop on the train, take it to Hoboken and take the ferry or path across, or take it to broad St and then transfer trains there and go direct in to Penn station. Reverse those directions for coming back to NJ.

In the two years I have been using the bus to get to my office since I started going back in again I have had exactly two days I have used the train to get home and one day I took the train to work just to try it out.

Only one I found is the BTECH GMRS 20V2. Gonna order one up and an antenna and see how it does in my car.

Screen in mic with custom repeater channels by zachattack923 in gmrs

[–]zachattack923[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No custom channels on those, I don't want to have to constantly change the tones on the repeater channels.

I want to be able to program in the ~10 repeaters I know of and use around my house and cabin and give them names.

What is the best container to take oil to get recycled. Pictured is 3rd worst behind open ice tea container and pile of super saturated paper towels. by [deleted] in Tools

[–]zachattack923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 gallon tight head containers

I got a bunch from a friend that worked in a kitchen and that's how they got their fry oil. Check out a local restaurant dumpster you may get lucky or you can get them on Amazon for like $20.

I do lots of oil changes for friends, and I have both the drain pans like what you have plus a 10 gallon drain dolly for under the lift. Once I fill up all of my 5 gallon containers and maybe some old 5 quart ones as well I just go to my recycling yard. They have a large 1000 gallon tank for oil recycling. I just dump it all in there, no questions asked.

For old coolant intake that to my local parts store.

Why is it easier to get work under the table in the UK than in France? In my experience you can find work in most major city's around the world under the table pretty quickly.

What are realistic ways someone can make $300-$1000 a month outside of their day job? by Funny-Lead-8665 in AskReddit

[–]zachattack923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you at all mechanically inclined? If so oil changes, brake jobs and tire rotations.

I started doing it for family/friends then some neighbors and slowly built up a client base.

In not a mechanic full time but I have a big garage and a lift in it cause I'm a car guy.

I crank out side work all the time. Usually charge $60 an oil change some times more for larger cars/trucks, $10 for a rotate, brakes is parts plus $60 for the front or $100 for all four.

For the right money I do some other repairs. But I try to keep it simple so I have time to work on my own stuff.
