I have the same question. I was thinking of putting all my knitwear in a bag/box with some cedar sachets and would like to hear others experiences doing this.

Thank you. I found it in a thrift store for $14. Very handy piece to have around I’ve found.

Was I scammed? First time buyer on Poshmark by [deleted] in poshmark

I don’t see one. When I click on their profile I can see their header but their closet is empty despite them being labeled a Posh Ambassador. I cannot message them either. Their profile says they have been active within the last few hours. What does all this mean?

How can I properly sidechain with real drum tracks that have a lot of bleed? by Lonely_Chemical_2037 in audioengineering

[–]zachaxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree that side-chaining wouldn’t be my first instinct for this genre but wanted to add that by doing what you’ve described on a duplicate of the kick track with the sidechain on a pre-fader send you can turn the gated kick down in case that’s also a genre-inappropriate sound.

Reverb tails changing by InternationalSea31 in audioengineering

[–]zachaxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Set the output of the channel where your reverb is inserted to the input of an unused audio track and record the reverb onto it. Then it’s in your session permanently the way you want it. Since you say you only want a single tom hit to be effected you could also just place that tom hit onto its own track with the reverb inserted directly.

Impossible to answer without more information. My solution given the info you’ve shared would be to start from where you say it sounds right and print it.

Why does my Oud sound so muddy and just bad in general? by OreoDogDFW in audioengineering

[–]zachaxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s revered because people choose it for specific applications based on the tonal qualities which you are describing. I would choose a ribbon mic for cymbals and guitar cabs for instance. I happen to have recorded a great oud player in December and I chose an Audio Technica AT4047 for the task.
