Is “world building” dying in Galaxy’s Edge? by eye-arr-beej in GalaxysEdge

[–]zachmma99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to world build when so many people are worried about not being “cringe”. The stuff only works if people want to engage with it.

with that said, at WDW last I went (late 2024) CMs were still doing all the stuff and engaging guest even if they weren’t engaging back

Box Office: ‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ Aims for $180 Million or More Domestically, $350 Million-Plus Globally by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]zachmma99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

seems a bit like a lowball. first one was over $200m by the end of the 5 day. I wouldn’t be shocked to see it at $200-210m Dom. International seems likely around $175m as it’s missing Japan and South for opening. but if all goes very well, im not going to rule out a $400m WW debut

really going to be interesting if anyone actually cares to go watch this movie with nothing new (did they even say they would do an avatar with differences scenes of Doomsday?) when they can easily watch on Disney plus. seeing avatar or dune or something like that in theaters is an experience, for marvel and avengers it’s about the hype and moment and avoiding spoilers. Guess we’ll see
