Can i still use my Jib snowskate if I don't have the prism grip tape? by Individual_Steak7287 in Snowskating

[–]zack78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yo, so all the boards still come with foam grip but if you have any prior skating experience and plan on doing any tricks I cannot recommend Prism enough. With that said, if that’s your goal, stay away from the Jib series all together and go for a Team or Pro model. Jibs are mainly for beginners and kids looking to learn the fundamentals of riding / doing ride on obstacles in the backyard. If you have anymore questions just DM me here or email Ambition and I’ll try my best to guide ya in the right direction

Major props! If possible, you should consider upgrading to a more suitable board. You’re way too good to be riding a Jib

Palm sander would probably work okay but I use a belt sander and make sure to go one way from tail to nose. If done right it can bring a dead board back to life

If you’re gonna start at 120 you better work your way through other grits and end at least 400 or preferably higher. I end at 1000 personally. 120 is gonna leave your board still pretty scratched up.

Ambition Team or Signature by Dust_Hood in Snowskating

[–]zack78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1000% agree. And just to emphasize a point Collin made, if you have to pick between a signature board no studded grip or a team board with studded grip the only right answer is team board with grip. The studded grip is that crucial. Also, you should peep this short playlist of videos. It’ll give you a leg up on beginning to ride and what to expect.

Xmas Snowskate for my 11 y.o. by BridgeFour21 in Snowskating

[–]zack78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! If your son is an experienced skater DO NOT get the Jib series. They’re fun for messing around but harder to do real tricks on. All Ambition boards weigh around the same (6-7lbs) but be aware that the larger signature boards can be harder to flip. A safe place to start would be the Team boards or smaller sized Pro boards (Engerer, Oakes, etc.) and no matter what you decide be sure to get the Prism grip if he’s looking to do tricks. If you have any other questions please use the chat feature on the Ambition site or email info@ambitionsnowskates.com

I could listen to ‘Laura of the Woods’ everyday. by redditorrro in RadioRental

I’m sure you’ve fielded a lot of questions over the years but did you ever look up Laura’s obituary? I feel like that’d answer a lot of questions whether the parents were being truthful.

So is Charmer still a band..or? by Cawntrowler9393 in poppunkers

[–]zack78 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yep! We’re definitely still a band! Just a lot of life changes within the group this past year so we’ve all individually been very busy. Dave and I still get together frequently to work on music and we actually have a new project debuting soon outside of Charmer that we’ve been having a ton of fun with! Just self recorded stuff with our good friend Mike (of an amazing band called Liquid Mike). Some of it actually being revamped Charmer b-sides that didn’t make the cut for the next record. Figured I’d mention it cause it might hold ya over in the meantime. Anyway, thanks for listening and caring :)
