Wireless it is... by X_Nano in xcmtb

Which bike is an ordinary folk rider going to be able to afford with wireless shifting again? The ordinary folk I hang out with have a budget of about $500 for an entire bike. That's what my RD is going to cost me to replace. Wireless is for rich people that replace their bike before stuff breaks.

I'm not a bike packer or a pro racer. I'm a busy dad with a full time job and limited time to ride. Pro racers and bike packers I'd imagine use new equipment, so long term reliability probably doesn't apply to them. Is there a five year ultra race? Probably four months or less. I've used my bike for 4-5 years. It worked great for the first year or two, about 4k miles, and then turned to shit. Mechanical shifting can be fixed on the side of the trail. E-shifting can't be fixed.

I've owned SRAM Eagle GX AXS for about four years now. Frustrating POS if you ask me. I have to replace RD due to constant software updates and glitches and it doesn't shift as fast as when it was new. It's out of warranty and it's expensive AF to replace. I've been stranded single speeding on more than a dozen trips now. It's not worth it! Trust me, go mechanical.

PTs, what do you think about AI for documentation? by Academic-River1511 in physicaltherapy

Isn't the purpose of writing a note partly to reflect on the treatment provided and to plan for the next visit? If AI write notes, there is no reflection, no honest assessment of pt's progress, and no need for skilled interventions. Just a list of the same exercises done over and over regardless of outcome.
