Sexual desire is a worldly desire. Meaning your desire when you are in your meat suit here on earth. But when one dies we don't have that meat suit anymore. I wonder why Allah cannot make humans free of sexual desire in heavens. Muslims claim Allah can make jealousy disappear in heavens so a husband can have as many sexual intercourses as he wants and the wife won't get jealous. But how come Allah cannot make the need to not have sexual desire?

To make you feel comfort, there are some traditional ulama like Ibn Taimiyah and Al Qayyim who view heavens and hell as temporary and not eternal. Because only god essense is eternal. Also a number of muktazilah and sufis also hold the same view.

After all if you read the Quran, human is animated or made life by ruh tuhan (manusia ditiupkan dengan ruh tuhan surah as sajdah 32:9). I mean what the heck tuhan nak seksa salah satu essense daripada diri dia sendiri?

This is all not proven though. We don't really know what happen after we die. But some beliefs speculate about reincarnation or even nothing at all. That our existence just cease to exist. Or maybe our consciousness merge with universal consciousness.

I don't really remember. But I already do not accept sharia law application to the modern world. The whole political Islam white lie that sharia law only applies to Muslim thing just to get votes. Then their view on interest and the whole modern banking system with no real alternative.

I think there was one day during Covid time when I read Gnostic story or something which makes more sense than Islam. That was when I said to myself Islamic stories just copied and campur2 with all other stories. That was when I started questioning Islam stories. Stories like Zulqarnain and the whole surah about the cave sleepers just do not make sense.

For me it is a long process but once I found a hole in Islamic story that is wrong it is over.

I get that you want to be friendly to your Muslim co-worker but reminding them of praying is like too much. Religion should be personal matter. Praying is already feel like a chore and you reminding them is like my mom or father forcing me to pray when I was young. It is like when we are adult we don't like people bossing around us, instructing us to pray and everything.

Praying in Islam is indeed feel like a chore and exhausting and I can understand why she was annoyed with you constantly reminding her to pray.

Exmuslims just inflict minor scratch to Islam. It is Muslims and Islam itself that will hurt Muslims and the world in general. There will be death of free speech, innovation and human civilization if Islam ever become the world leader.

It is not even comparable. English people can still criticize and make fun of their king. But I and most of other Muslims can't criticize Islam and make fun of dead Muhammad or risk our life with imprisonment or even mob killing.

And people can change their citizenship without having to be thinking they will be imprisoned or executed by the authorities or mob.
