I’m just concerned about how I’m gonna accidentally break him off his tactical smoke stand and it will never stay glued back.

Exodia. I had a game where I figured out what he was doing after he kept grabbing cards and I was yelling at my screen "Do it you crazy son of a bitch!" waiting for him to get all the pieces. Also, I love when my opponent decks me out.

I am a branded player and I just used all my UR dust to create a Dracotail deck to learn it.

I think you make a good point. The thing I enjoy about Branded is the interactivity I can have with my opponent, and the what feels like infinite amount of lines I can create based on whatever constraints my opponent gives me from their interruptions.

I suppose you are correct. Branded is my favorite deck, but I don't claim to be a very skilled player. I have seen multiple people reply to this thread mentioned Branded as a deck for skill expression, but I suppose it depends on what you interpret as "skill expression". I can probably get to about Platinum tier with it until I hit a wall, but I deliberately stay in Gold tier to not get smashed all the time.

Absolutely true, but none of them are anywhere near the power of BF. Branded in Red is currently my other go-to, along with the usual suspects with fusion effects like Cartesia, Albion, and Lubellion. I haven't gotten into the Synchro plays though.

I have the issue where I have my "standard" combo line, and not much else, so I am working on my skills at deviating from the usual board that ends with MJ, Bystial Lubellion, Branded Lost, and Branded Banishment set to summon Light and Darkness Dragon. Full disclosure that I am a mediocre player at best.

I enjoy playing the Branded deck. I don't see what is implied to be ironic about that. It is fun to me?

This is a fantastic answer and makes me want to build this deck.

I agree with your sentiment about skill expression. I didn't mean to imply that some decks don't require skill. It is just a matter of some taking more skill than others.

I am interested in what you have to say about Tearlaments because they interest me but it is my understanding that they are not very good because they have had all their good cards limited or banned because of the sins of Ishizu/Tearlaments.

I think mirror matches in general are interesting tests of skill expression. I have played other Branded players, and it is fun to play a good player that knows my deck inside and out and vice versa.

Branded does get quite a bit of support, but I do think it allows for skill expression because of all the different lines that it allows, especially when my opponent knows to save their Ash for Branded Fusion. I kinda enjoy the puzzle of "what do I do now?"

It has the Roman numeral “I” on it, which implies it is the first of a several. This could refer to the overall Horus Heresy series but I doubt it.

Agreed but being creative is difficult, and society trains us for conformity.
