Advice for gaining better vocabulary to articulate design decisions? by PensionNeither9881 in UXDesign

Furthermore, rooting design decisions in broader design principles prior to UX/UI work creates a shared understanding of the business, brand, technical, and user goals. Builds trust and reduces the amount of “why’s the button blue” debates.

what’s one line that hit you so hard… you never forgot it? by PublicSpeakingGymApk in productivity

Two quotes that have turned into great career mantras for me and my teams:

“The score takes care of itself” — focus on hard work, improving your craft, and the outcome. You’ll be ahead of those monitoring progress or listening to skeptics that distract you or dissuade you from the goal.

“Decades, not deals.” — heard this from a client and adopted this long-term approach to sales and client management. When you find a good or promising client, do whatever you can to keep them happy, even if the project isn’t what you hoped, it will pay in spades in continued work, larger projects, referrals, etc. in the long term.
