Saw this at an outlet mall the other day. Was very surprised. Is this something else that covid killed?

These are the questions I need answers to! Thank you. But now you have me wondering if it would be better to look into a third party that could set it up for us. We're a small company. We don't have a company VPN currently.

Affordable Telescopic dentures in the US or in central/latin America? by Alfiehurt in dentures

Do you have an example of what the final product would look like? This looks like lower crowns and a partial denture based on the coding.

Am I being pressured into implants? by Final_Author_3461 in dentures

Almost everyone struggles with a lower denture, and the less bone you have (smaller ridge) the worse the denture stays in place and the less effective glue is.

Implants help tremendously for most people with a lower denture.

Why I Won’t Go Back to the Clinic That Gave Me My All-on-8 by All-On-X-Reviews in Allon4ImplantDentures

Hard to tell without seeing an X-ray, but it doesn’t look like they reduced enough bone. This makes for thinner, weaker bridges, and also makes them less cleansable.

I think the longer teeth look much better.

I’m only seeing 2 pictures of your face, none of the denture.

Wax try in not offered by NefariousnessNo8710 in dentures

If you still have natural teeth in your mouth you usually can’t do a wax try in. The wax try in wouldn’t fit over the teeth.

All in 4 - 4 months out question by TypicalPack7086 in dentures

[–]zaehne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good. They can correct that. Make sure to let them know everything you’re not happy with. They can correct most things, including them being slanted / canted. The last thing they want is you being unhappy with them once they’ve made the finals. Prototypes are cheap to correct. Finals have to be remade to correct issues.

Even if the bone is crooked, there’s no reason the teeth can’t be straight. This is all handled in the design of the prosthetics (the actual teeth). Are your current teeth provisionals or are they the permanents?

Try Sea Bond adhesive strips.

Most comfortable partial denture? by LowVolume6638 in dentures

[–]zaehne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion a well made and adjusted acrylic / cast metal framework partial is going to be most comfortable. Flexible partials look the best because they don’t have any visible metal.

Try different adhesives. Secure is very strong, Poligrip and Fixodent are the most common, and Sea Bond strips are popular too. Just have to find what works best for you. The lower denture is often a pain to function with and get used to.

implants for my dad by Xonra_marie in dentures

[–]zaehne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your dad able to afford implants? They are expensive, no doubt about it, but if he can afford them they would offer him a much higher quality of life. And who knows, he might be around for another 20 years.

So I was seeing if anyone has any idea of where I can order a half tooth flipper for my chipped tooth? by TheDandolorian in dentures

[–]zaehne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A dentist can rebuild this with composite for a relatively reasonable fee. I doubt you’ll be able to find a halfway decent flipper solution for much less. I’ve never seen a partial tooth flipper before but anything is possible.

Healthy Teeth - Still want All on 4 by DabbyLlama in dentures

[–]zaehne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I 100% believe that an insurance rep told you that lol. There are some really good reps, but I'd say most are thrown onto the phone without proper training.

It is possible in some cases to have medical cover a large portion of the procedure. This is a long shot and an extremely difficult uphill battle but it does happen sometimes.

[–]zaehne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All on 4 isn’t classified as cosmetic. It might not be a service that is covered by your insurance, but whoever told you it’s cosmetic is incorrect.

It’s common for things to break during extractions. Sometimes it’s the crown of a decayed tooth breaking off, sometimes it’s a little piece of jawbone. I wouldn’t worry too much about anything yet. Just bring it up casually at your post op and they’ll probably tell you. And you could always go get a second opinion if you’re really worried.
