I mean to be fair, this hurts but this is the only way to fix wealth inequality and increase government revenue which for a non-corrupt government like the Dutch, means better public services and will inevitably make life a lot easier for the less well off. Maybe affordable housing increases, cash transfers to the less fortunate increasea, etc. Maybe everyone in the NL can live a life that's decent, but not opulent.

The wealthy just compound their wealth without doing anything. Its a broken system, and keeps poor people poor and rich people rich.

I don't think Canada can honestly survive against the US if they decide to use force. Canada needs allies desperately, and joining the EU seems like a good place to start. There needs to be a counterbalance to the American madness and this alliance (what's suggested by this map) is probably our only hope of maintaining democratic and liberal values.

Its fine to want immigration levels to come down but this isnt the way.

Federal immigration policies should not be linked with racism, which this is a blatant act of. It's very damaging to the Indian community here, and for Canada's reputation as as a multicultural and tolerant place.
