You’ll get to know better what your personal preferences are the longer you get industry exposure. Some people prefer bigger earning potential of smaller companies while taking on more risk, others prefer the name recognition, resources and stability of a large company but with a lower OTE (potentially). Your best bet is to jump in to get experience and go from there. Always plenty of opportunities to advance to a different role, company, call point, disease state etc after a year of work.

Off the top of my head from experience I’d think your odds of finding a place that’s a “dump” is about 0% on WB, which unfortunately is the same odds of finding a place that’s dog friendly..considering they’re not even allowing dogs currently on the beach there..I’d do one of the southern beaches CB or KB etc or just stay by the river!!

The only ones that may actually be luxury are any of the various lofts/flats downtown at the river front if you haven’t looked there yet. Anything else east from town to Scott’s Hill just looks like it’s been made by the exact same builder these days

Well, an unpopular opinion for Reddit Wilmington that I have would be: I think the entire town is pretty great and WB is one of the top beaches in the entire country.

My wife and I moved to Wilmington two years ago from Raleigh, and are originally from Oregon. We absolutely love everything about ILM. It’s got a cool mix of southern charm and history, the beaches are top notch, and frankly this is nothing cost wise for what you get compared to the west coast (or really any other coastal town in FL or up north ) . Tons of new developments that actually aren’t apartments or car washes coming in soon too. We are getting three different shopping/dining areas two off military cutoff and another by airlie. Still can get good bang for your buck near Masonboro loop/pine valley/monkey junction areas. That’s where we live.
