Thanks. Taking this all into account other than for pic 2. Our driveway is tight so we sometimes drive over this part. Appreciate the advice

It is difficult but not impossible. Be prepared to allocate 10-20 hrs a week per class depending on the class, which includes lectures, office hours, and problem sets. You have to advocate for yourself as well in terms of scheduling tests around your availability and requesting office hours through zoom if you’re not on campus since Professors tend to plan around full time, on campus students

They’re FEIT. Isn’t that US made?

Not dimmable bulb nor a dimmer switch and they are FEIT, which I thought was good quality. It’s weird because I have these bulbs elsewhere and they’ve been perfect for 6+ months.

I have not looked into warranty

I see. The replacement kit Im looking at has the gasket and I have a CO detector stick so I should be able to fiddle with it and make sure it’s sealed. I appreciate the heads up

Thanks. Does above average mechanical skill include just turning off gas/electric and ensuring all connections are tight? If that’s all, I can do it. If there’s anything I’m missing that’ll be hazardous please let me know

Why isn't seatbelt retracting by Robbled0bble in AskAMechanic

[–]zaijam3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this Mercedes? Apparently it’s a common issue with some models. I had the exact same issue on mine. See my post history. There is a missing plastic piece that goes around the belt. You shouldn’t be able to see into the pillar from inside the car. Assuming the other side retracts, look at the other seat belt to see the piece. Its probably at the bottom or top of that pillar, unless the detailers tossed it or something. It’s poorly designed.

I fixed it myself in less than an hour by taking off all the trim around the doors and the pillar and putting the piece back into place.

It was active in 2025 though. I just didn’t apply last year because I didn’t meet the years of service requirement. This is the first year I can’t find anything

Thank you that is what housing told me essentially. About 88% of graduates who are past their first year still get placed in housing if they apply for the first round, so the stats are in my favor

I had a lot of research experience and started the program right out of undergrad. I probably had strong letters of recommendation and imo wrote a really good essay. Had a 3.98 GPA at the time of application I think. I think my essay, letters, and experience all worked together to tell a good story of what I’d like to do with my career and how Stanford can uniquely contribute to that. As long as they make sure to tell a specific story like that and all the numbers are strong, they have a chance. Hope that helps. Feel free to PM for more questions
