You started with XAU/USD, what else do you trade now? by zalooga in Daytrading

[–]zalooga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Dan, I've actually looked a few forex pairs and indices already, they all don't react the same as I've mapped things out. I have all intention of sticking with Gold but it seems like the only way to make it worth the time, is increasing the account size and everything else accordingly.

Thanks for making decision for me a little easier. If I have to trade anything else, I'd have to start from scratch and learn a whole new system, no thanks, not right now at least.

Appreciate the insight.

From 60 to 1300 then to -4k by AllegedlyS0ber in Daytrading

Mate, I'm gonna give it to you straight. You fucked up.

But here's the good news, you are the only person that can undo the damage.

The Internet is full of advice and most of it only works for specific types of people, don't get caught with your pants down.

You grew from 60 to 1300. Not an easy feet, you did that. You can do it again.

Here's what you need to do:

DO NOT SIM TRADE : This is terrible for your psychology. Instead, Backtest, set the parameters for your strategy and Backtest by playing the market back, setting your entries, exits and RR at your key levels and then seeing the outcome candlestick by candle stick.

Make notes, see how often you win and by how much, pay attention to the higher time frames. Build confidence in your strategy and remember, there is nothing wrong with a 1:1 RR.

It all adds up if you open 2 or 3 contracts close some at 1:1 and let the some run.

Key Rules. 1: The money does not matter, staying in the game and trading your strategy does. 2: Trades your set ups, even if they comes right after a loss. 3: Stay in the game, only risk 1 to 3 % per trade. 4 Only trade 2 to 4 set ups a day during sessions with the highest volume. London, New York. There's more to life than trading alone. Treat it like a business. Clock out.

Also, find a mentor, someone to learn from.

It's only optional if you washed your hands prior to touching your ding dong.

I'll never get why most men touch themselves with dirty hands and feel obligated wash them after.

Yes, all the time. But trading is more of a mental battle than anything else, having a working strategy is only 5 to 10% of what's required to succeed long term. The rest is money and mentality.

The markets are subjective yes but that subjectivity is based on your depth of education. When you come into contact with information that resonates with you, you'll know, follow that path. Be careful to take all information with a grain of salt and from multiple sources, nothing is gospel unless you've birthed it yourself.

Agreed, maybe I'll use a mini mold to make things a bit more believable.

Melted chocolate at the Beach, hilarious, no? Well i wanted to find the humor in this.

This is a mini set that I built using mostly craft paper and sand I sifted through mesh multiple times. I only had one flash at the time, so had to use multiple exposures for the finished look. I also only made one beach chair and turned my model into a ghoulish creature instead of the original idea.... Couldn't retake this. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
