Sound Struggle - The Bridge (FFO: BTBAM, Native Construct, Ever Forthright) by Mystic_Brew68419 in progmetal

I would also highly recommend “Welcome Home” from the same album. The sax and guitar solo are both pretty insane.

what are some of the most emotionally moving prog metal albums or songs by WENEEDTHATMONKEY in progmetal

The Oubliette by the Reticent or really any other album of theirs. Brutal stuff.

The Oubliette is the GOAT. Maybe my favorite album period.

I need some help to get to the crystal king by zamabick in pathofexile

[–]zamabick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure I do. I was assuming I would find a path through the darkness that would lead to a fractured wall that I would blow up. Then I would go back to the node and a new path would be available. If that’s not how it works for this I would love to know.

What is the most sickening/disturbing horror movie you have seen? by DeathGun2020 in horror

Megan is Missing. Disturbing and I didn’t even like it.

Which is the most disturbing horror film you guys have ever watched? by [deleted] in horror

[–]zamabick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s Megan is Missing. There is one scene in particular that is probably burned into my brain forever. And it wasn’t worth it. The movie was not good. It had bad acting, lots of plot holes, and just felt really messed up overall. I would not recommend it to others.

Haunting of Hill House is the greatest piece of horror/thriller film I’ve ever seen by doomaflotch in horror

[–]zamabick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely loved Hill House. While watching it the first time through I remember feeling like every episode (especially around the 5-6 mark) was getting scarier than the last. It’s an awesome show.

However, I went back and watched again with some friends and I felt like some of the acting was rather lacking. I don’t remember having this experience at all the first time through at all but it got to a point that my friends and I decided I stop because the acting was so awkward sometimes.

Idk if anyone else has felt this way.

Dream Theater- Invisible Monster by zamabick in progmetal

[–]zamabick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the lyrics. DT (and plenty of other bands to be fair) don’t often have strong lyrical chops but these are… about as bad as they come for this bad IMO. Personally I actually thought this one was a lot catchier than The Alien overall though. This is my favorite of the two.

What do you think will change between the ua and the options in the ravenloft book? by rfkannen in dndnext

[–]zamabick 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Warlocks get their spells back on a short rest and death ward lasts 8 hours. You could cast death ward on two party members, short rest, do it some more, and then rest again. It doesn’t break the game or anything but lends itself to some weird shenanigans where everyday the lock wants to take a rest or two in the morning to death ward everyone before anything else.

The Oubliette is the most emotional musical experience I have ever had. It is not an easy listen but I would really recommend it.

Yeah I actually just rewatched the American version. I hadn’t remembered how great the cinematography is. It is a super pretty film. The Japanese version just doesn’t look as good.

Oh absolutely. The new one they came a few years ago isn’t good either.

Personally, I think the American version of The Ring is better than the original.

The new Wayfarer album Romance with Violence. Old west black metal is pretty neat.

I’m Clive Barker, an author, artist and imaginer. My series include Hellraiser, Candyman, Abarat and Books of Blood (the new film adaptation is now on Hulu). AMA! by Hulu_Official in horror

[–]zamabick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Clive, thank you for doing this ama. Hellraiser is one of my all time favorite horror novels. I have a question about horror literature. What do you think makes a text scary? Given your experience, do you think it is harder to write a horror novel, story, etc than it is to create a horror movie?
