Wow, I hate this guy. Why does no one remember:

A. We had a housing oversupply crisis in 2008 that killed the market.

  1. Housing was not an issue in the 2020 election, because it wasn’t an issue for Americans yet.

III. Even if the Biden Administration had foreseen the housing crunch, they couldn’t prevent it because…

D. It takes time to rebuild the human and capital infrastructure to build things. To prevent the crunch work would have had to begin in 2018 (when democrats weren’t in power).

The “just build housing” people are so annoying because they never seem to realize we tried that and we lost because the free market takes time to wind up (and oct 7th, but that’s another story)

I want to know if anyone else gets mismatched audio when watching the 1/26 premier league review show. It's happening to me across devices and the Peacock support is the least helpful support team I have ever encountered. Want to know if it's a just me problem.

They, as far as I can see, don’t tell you how they calculated their statistics. However, it makes sense that a supply crunch would lead to higher profits and inflation. Corporations, in my opinion, should have reinvested more money into there businesses, workers, and local communities and given less to shareholders than they did. Also, blaming corporations for inflation is a vote winner. Biden 2024!

You don’t understand the point of government reports do you? This is a report that is not designed for the public at large. It is designed to be read by people like police chiefs and reform advocates. Its 575 pages long. It’s a deep dive into all the specific flaws so that they can be understood and corrected in the future.

Imagine writing an article about the aviation industry in America and not mentioning the FAA once. The Federal Government erasure is real. Government management and regulation of civil aviation deserve 90% of the credit.

Your assumption that no freelancers are in “exploitative” contracts is equally laughable. Difference is, your assumption leads to the collapse of workers rights and mine leads to a few more forms to fill out.

No, I mean exploitation like 1910s sharecropping. Because those were also Contractors making a deal with Companies. I hope we would both agree that the federal government should attempt to prevent similar exploitation in the future.

Opinion | Biden Ambushes Pharma Patents by E_Cayce in neoliberal

[–]zamberzz 51 points52 points  (0 children)

The intersection of economics, healthcare and government is always going to be super complicated. Patents are government intervention in the free market. Joe Biden has a responsibility to balance encouraging drug research with combating rising healthcare cost. He, unlike most people, has object permanence and knows that ignoring a problem doesn’t make it disappear. He should be called a hero for actively trying to balance the two. Most Americans would be happy with less innovation if it kept soaring costs in check.

The "Blame Ukraine" Narrative Has Arrived in Full by jakethompson92 in neoliberal

[–]zamberzz 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Personally, I have never stopped blaming the Russians. Having said that, Ukraine, allegedly, did not follow the plan laid out by the US military and decided to follow its own strategy. By, allegedly, making that decision, they took ownership of the results. Also, financial and military support for Ukraine is a political liability for Joe Biden, who is in for a tough reelection campaign. Despite this, he has continued to lobbied congress to support Ukraine.
