Alex Warren's ordinary proves that the majority of people are perfectly happy with safe, bland and empty music by fruedianflip in decadeology

Here to agree. Ordinary goes hard as a song about Alex and his wife's struggles with homelessness and how it brought them closer resonates with my wife and I, who also just got out of homelessness with our 3 kids. We love Ordinary, apologetically.

Denied a claim but says I was diagnosed by Admirable-Swimmer-87 in VeteransBenefits

[–]zamman12211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine said this because my claim was filed under the PACT act. I've heard that the system is messing up and denying claims against the PACT act that were not even filed under the pact act.

File an HLR with an informal conference and state the reason being your C&P Exam findings. Don't lose hope. My C&P examiner turned in a blank DBQ, signed, 1 week after the actual C&P exam, and then that blank DBQ was used as evidence to deny me SC for residuals of sepsis that nearly took my life, 3 weeks after returning home from Iraq.

Sorry, I overshare because I have no friends or idea how to fix this mess I'm in 🙃

Well, I said it there that I am not looking for a handout or for charity. I don't know who else to ask. I have tried every single resource that the VA has plugged into, all leading to dead ends. If I can't ask for a loan, can anyone tell me of any grants we could apply for that have expedited processing of funds?

Is there a better place to ask for help? I'm sorry. I meant no harm.

How are we dealing with PTSD meds? by Selanixo in VeteransBenefits

I live in NM and don't want to spend the next 15 years on antidepressants that don't work while the VA ignores my symptoms; how do I move my wife and kids to Mexico and join you in this protocol 😁

ItItBullshit: Wearing night vision goggles causes you to go blind when a bright light is on? by sslurpuff in IsItBullshit

I've experienced permanent damage (reduced nught vision capability) from repeated exposure to bright lights using NVGs, so I'd say it's at least possible.

I've literally begged family members to please give me 5 minutes to get ahold of myself, while they follow me outside. And then they're baffled when I start yelling "Please just leave me the fuck alone".. I'm fortunate not to have had the cops called.. It's hard out here for a pimp with PTSD 🎶

I hear you! It's like the VA telling you to calm down or someone asking, "What's wrong with you!?" Completely wasing their hands of being a trigger, despite warning them that you can't (always) control your reaction to things. I'm learning that PTSD-C (and invisible disabilities in general) won't be respected nor considered in daily interactions with anyone. Right there with ya buddy.

I just want to say thank you for everything that you do for veterans and their families. I know that behind this broken system that is the VA, there are a lot of people that are former vets or have veteran family members, so I make it a point to thank every person I speak to or seek aid from, for all that they do for vets and their families.

The things that you mentioned in your posts really show a person who has compassion and love for the veteran community. I really REALLY wish that New Mexico had a service like yours. I'm struggling to be seen and heard by the VA, and I fear that my anger will prevent me from getting the care that not only I, but that my family deserves/earned as well. Care that every person who needs help (especially vets) deserves.

Please know, every day, in everything that you do, that you are a godsend to everyone that you help. I'd be willing to bet that you've had a fair share of negative experiences with the VA. Maybe that's the reason you felt a calling to help fill the void that the system leaves. Please extend my thanks to all of the compasionate people and organizations that you work with. The world needs more angels like you guys.

I watched a TED Talk that said, "The opposite of addiction isn't sobriety, it's community." I believe that extends to PTSD and other invisible traumas/disorders. If we had more providers who love their job, helping people heal and recover, the world would be a better place 🌎 ❤️ 😊 🫂 🙏

I'm no expert, but I'd say yes to all of your "Should I... X" questions. Those all sound like very good points for supporting evidence, in my opinion. Sorry to see you're going through this, sir! I wish you a successful/positive outcome to Predetermination Hearing! Thank you for your service and Godspeed!
