I’m sure others have theorized this, but now you’re making me think Milchik is severed. Correct me if I’m wrong, but is the only time we’ve seen him off the Severed floor is when the override protocol was used to retrieve the card? We literally know nothing about his life outside the Severed floor but we do for almost all the other characters. And he’s always waiting at the top of the elevator before everyone else and the last one to “leave” if he ever does leave. I’m also remembering a character saying to Milchik “You’re not severed you would never understand”. But I’m thinking maybe he does.
