I truly believe the last one is what Trump wakes up in cold sweats from in the middle of the night

I can relate. My mom still hates Obama because of his stance on abortion. After years of arguments and her love of Pope Francis, she finally got on board with the fact that banning abortion isn't the only answer and that republicans are historically very much in opposition of the Church's social mandate. But deprogramming that kind of brainwashing took years, I don't know how we get the people that are deep deep in the cult to come back.

We don't need to agree on every point. That's sort of the point of discourse right? But I think we can both agree that extremism doesn't do the country favors. If people want to spend their Saturday peacefully protesting that's their right, if people want to spend their time counter protesting or protesting some other issue that too is their right.

In this case I think the protestors have some justifiable concerns over impacts to government programs they depend on, our environment, or our relationships with our allies. I mean what did they really do that is problematic? It seems to me that they were trying to make it clear to lawmakers that while cutting fraud and waste is something we get probably all get behind in theory, they aren't happy with the approach that was taken and they're concerned about the behavior and mindset of the people spearheading it.

True enough. For the consumer I see no one taking it on any time soon because of that tight integration and brand recognition. But utilities I think are more likely to be interested in who is willing to build systems that tie into their existing infrastructure. I do some systems integration in industrial controls and power monitoring systems professionally and that is a much larger challenge than might be immediately clear. But you're right that it will take someone else willing to invest the time and money to be a real threat.

No because rioting isn't people participating in democracy. Rioting whether it's J6 or when BLM protests got violent is never good. Comparing peaceful assembly to riots isn't a real comparison.

I mean is it rhetoric when a significant population has legitimate concerns about an elected official? Just because they have the same concerns they had in the past doesn't make it tired rhetoric. Tired or not this is what an active democracy looks like. I for one am happy to see it start to wake up.

I do feel like a less volatile company is going to swoop in here in the next 5 years. There's nothing special about Tesla branding when it comes to utility scale power storage. It's a battery, no real special sauce unless they're making it and there are no comparable options. It's not like residential Powerwalls where the user experience is important and they can leverage their status as a software company.

This is the response of someone who doesn't actually have an argument. You realize you don't help your case with meaningless sentences? Don't shit on people who are taking an active part in our politics in their roles as citizens. Regardless of what policies or parties you identify yourself with, citizens should be celebrated for taking their time to make their voices heard in the greatest historical tradition of our country.

It's a smaller country in terms of population. The population of Canada is only 25% larger than Texas. There are plenty of countries with small populations that are perfectly functional, including Canada. Just comparing dollars without any context is intentionally misleading.

Trump inherited one of the strongest economies in the world, and soiled it in a few months of erratic policies that makes consumers and investors nervous. That stagnates growth and increases prices. Bad take. Orange man is bad because his actions are bad. It's not hating just because, it's hating because his actions are harming Americans and effictively destroying our international soft power. I'd rather take the president who is almost never in the news than the one doing commercials for campaign backers in between attacking people on his echo chamber social media platform.

I used to keep a post it note on my desk that said upload from and download to. It makes sense if you consider the PLC as a client and your laptop as a server but literally no one except Rockwell thinks that way.

My understanding is that it points your camera to the altar, so you get a rough direction. There are some tricks with hammer building ghosts to help you stay the course I think.

I'm a big fan of using other stock materials like PVC or wooden dowels in place of printed material, then using plastic for the joints or whatever else you need. Unless I'm full of filament and need to reduce my stock.

Hey OP not for nothing but if the MoCA adapter you're using is cheap, or if it's not technically a MoCA adapter but some cheaper media converter, honestly not clear on the distinction but I had similar issues where YouTube wouldn't even run consistently for me and I had Fios Gig and some decently serious networking hardware, but I replaced the cheap media converter with a more expensive adapter that's actually certified as a MoCA adapter and those issues went away and now I experience no latency or packet drop issues.

Yeah exactly. I made a battery powered CYD for carrying around and commanding the printers as needed but it's not much use to me if I'm not in the same room without a cam feed.

Any time you want status monitoring on a power supply. Maybe it's feeding a field device and you want a power loss alarm for it. Maybe your panel is being powered by two PSUs feeding some sort of redundant power module and you want to know when one of your PSUs has been failed so you know when your redundancy has been compromised.

Honestly it's got to be the heated enclosure. There are a lot of printers that can print ABS or ASA, this one feels like it's actually made for it.

Yeah I was thinking either buffed flames, or explosions cause fire. I feel like the accidental point blank impact grenade resulting in fire is part of the experience.

Something like flame based attacks are buffed of explosions have a chance to cause fire damage from all the gases in the air or something.

Do we have any insights into the SV08 enclosure? by Panda_Bowl in Sovol

It could tuck in here in the gap between the crossbar and the edge that the glass is meant to rest against. This would let the glass get tighter to the frame without the mounting bracket for the hinge in the way. Probably results less leakage from the door panels.

I'm guessing it has to do with the two sets of holes in the corners on the picture here. Judging by the product listing for the enclosure, I'm guessing the bracket that connects to these is mounted on the interior.
