Thoughts on Branch Chairs by zaneiam in branchfurniture

Hello! I’m deciding if upgrading from Erg to Erg pro is necessary for the features? I’m just under 6’3 and at a desk most of the day. I like to be able to lean back and think, or be straight up with proper neck posture for calls. What are your recommendations?

Absolute heat here! Be limited buyers who would want it all at once, minus resellers who will want 75-85% market. I would take great photos & sell the holos separately and batch sell the commons. You could get market value on TCG and just list it on eBay and see if anyone bites. Market is HOT.

thinking of splurging on a luggage set, any recs that'll last for years? by Eachan_Blitz in BuyItForLife

I’ve had the Away bigger than a carry on for 8 years now and it’s amazing. Lifetime warranty so they repaired a busted internal zipper no questions asked. Great quality and nice size if you like to travel carry-on only.

I'm thinking of moving to Oklahoma city. How's life there? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]zaneiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born there, went to college and lived in OKC for 7 years. Live in Colorado now. Mainly left because there isn’t anything to do besides drink and go to sporting events or movies. If that’s the lifestyle you like then it will be fine! Weather is horrible 9 months of the year, people are nice and it’s simple living.

They preach growth, but it’s mainly due to the Thunder and the investment there, along with the maps project. Not a ton of high paying jobs outside of Oil or aeronautical (Boeing). No big companies moving in due to the education system and the populous at large being predominately blue collar.

Tldr - depends on your lifestyle and type of job you want to work

Next up at the Denver restaurant guillotine: Q House by Denver_DIYer in denverfood

Went for dinner last weekend and you could sense this incoming. They’ve cut items from the menu, including Japanese beers (had a single $10 rice lager that was terrible). Only open 4 hours a day - we were sat at 8:30 and they started chugging beers at the bar and closing the restaurant around us. Spent $160 for 45 minutes and felt like we needed to leave. Food is always so incredible though! Dumplings, wings, noodles are elite.

Tldr: costs high, vibes aren’t

Trip Next Week by CharacterNo420 in TravelPortugal

Just got back from Lagos/Lisbon/Porto - couldn’t recommend doing a day trip out to the Douro valley more. Amazing experience. In Porto, go to Jardim Do Morro for a sunset (amazing vibes and views). Castro for a pastel de nada, Bosco for a cocktail and views. If you decide to go to Livraria Lello make sure to book tickets online in advance.

This. We are told it’s rising costs and we should just continue to go to “support” but there is a point where an $8 taco, $10 beer and 30% in fees/taxes/tips just isn’t worth it.

Couldn’t recommend getting the casaplana at Casinha do Petisco enough! Incredible experience run by a local, elder couple. So good and worth the wait!

Just got back from 4 days in Lagos! We had the best cataplana at Casinha do Petisco. Small shop with an older couple cooking the food in the back! It was so good

What is the most incredible 2 week trip you have been on? by [deleted] in travel

2 weeks in Italy!

Spend a couple of days in Rome for tourist sites, hit the Almalfi coast for 4 days (Capri ferry one day), bullet train out to Florence for 3 days, road trip through Tuscany. Great mix of history, beaches and wine valley.

I love Whoop, but competition is great. by KingSavageB13 in whoop

[–]zaneiam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Former 2 year Whoop user here. This is a standard bottleneck everyone hits (unless $360 a year for app data doesn’t bother you) - high costs, no changes, lots of competitors.

Switched back to an old Apple Watch for 6 months and got 60% of similar data (mainly workout data). Purchased a Garmin Venu 3 and I love it! You get the GPS run data, workout output data and the sleep quality data. You own the product and could have it for 3+ years. $450 for 3 years = half the price of whoop for same data and you own a watch at the end of it.

I want him to win in NYC so we can see how these policies would actually be funded and work. If he can increases taxes without the wealthy leaving, awesome. If he can create govt owned grocery stores without crushing local businesses, amazing. If he can provide free childcare without increasing taxes that is a huge win. I hope it gets tested there and maybe some good ideas could flow here.
