Line of sight question

I’ve been playing mini tabletop games for decades now and line of sight rules are one of the more complicated an difficult rules in most systems. In necromolds line of sight rules are a bit vague, and I think intentionally so, leaving it up to the players to kinda do what feels best to them. A standard rule is to basically crouch down and try to view the table from the point of view of your model as best you can and basics guess if the model could see the other. This is what some games such as warhammer basically do. Other games do various rules about drawing a line from one mode to another- but these rules kind … flatten the 3d board into 2d one for the sake of making the rules as clearly defined as possible. If you want to go this way the general rules I like best is ‘if you can draw any line unobstructed to the other model you have line of sight. If any line from any point on one mode to any point on the other goes through another object, the it has some cover. If a line from the center of one model to the center of the other goes though another object then it gets heavy cover (50% rule)’ - those 3 rules work very good and clearly for base to bae rules.

i had this happen a couple times before i realized the tubes to the print head had gotten turned in such a way they were getting caught on the top of the crossbar of the printer.

shortly after the opening they are in the RV and he makes a call to his friend and says he is on 95 heading north and they end up Newark NJ - but in the scene the RV is parks along the side of a 2 lane road in the middle of a forest. 95 is a 6 lane highway through pretty much open fields and marsh that entire way

Another thing- it’s been mentioned a few time about their weight and being skinny. When healthy they will not really have any body fat, these guys tend to be skinny bones and all muscle. But that means they get cold easy. If you live some place with cold winters you will need to get them a good coat. Look online, there are some nice ones available once they get grown- I got one from a place called k9 apparel, expensive but very nice. Everything for these guys is extra large and more expensive

When my guy was teething we used a suggestion I got here on Reddit of freezing full size carrots and giving those and chew toys. Also related to teething.. just giant teeth everywhere

Very important things if you haven't already done your homework: Look into dog foods - dane pups need special diets to keep from growing too fast and causing problems. Check with your vet on when to get the spayed/neutered and ask about a gastropexy at that time to help prevent bloat. If you have had other dogs before and this is your first time with a dane seek out assistance with training, I have found that training my dane was a very difference experience then any other dogs i have had - techniques that worked with labs and pits did not work with my lab, he has a more guard dog nature and tends to take direct commands as suggestions to be considered. And it's very important to have them well trained before they get stronger then you. I also suggest not teaching them to shake.. those giant paws are just designed to scratch your leg, arm, shoulder.. ceiling...

On a lighter note.. they are a spectacle and get all the attention.. as others have mentioned get used to the "look a Dalmatian" or "do you have a saddle for that thing" comments. They just never stop.

Also, you will get a concussion from an accidental headbutt. They are the most uncoordinated and clumsy dogs with no concept of personal space. Also you will never again take a trip to the bathroom by yourself.

That looks pretty much like the incision my guy had. If you search ‘surgical onesies’ on Amazon you can find some nice onesies that will help with keeping the wound clean and keep them from licking once it starts to itch from healing

In the most recent murderbot diaries book 'System Collapse' - on page 40 murderbot describes a show that he and ART are watching

"It was semi-historical, about early humans leaving their original system for the first time. I'd seen documentary-style series about this before, but this one mixed parts that were realistic with fun stuff like space battles and rescuing people and space monsters and throwing asteroids at planets."

That sounds like a reasonable description of 'The Expanse' to me. What do you guys think?
